  • Patent number: 5934075
Abstract: A boosted braking device having a master cylinder and a pneumatic booster wherein the force for actuating the master cylinder is derived from a combination of an input force and a boost force of the booster. A main hydraulic piston of the master cylinder has a holler cylinder for receiving the input force. A secondary hydraulic piston located within the holler cylinder of the main hydraulic piston receives a hydraulic reaction force to impart an increasing braking force corresponding to an input force applied over an entire travel of a brake pedal.

  • Patent number: 4877055
Abstract: The invention relates to a leakage device for the depletion of a diaphragm accumulator when the vehicle so equipped is not in use. This device determines a permanent leakage of the liquid to a low-pressure reservoir with a predetermined rate of flow. According to the embodiment of the invention shown in the attached drawing, the device comprises a rod (150) mounted in the plunger (110), and the leakage path is defined between the rod (150) and a narrowed zone (131) of an axial passage (132) located inside the plunger. Preferably, the plunger (110) comprises a bore (126) and passages (127, 134) in communication with the inlet port (104) and the outlet port (106), and a core (130) received in the bore (126), the axial passage (132) being formed in the core (130), and the rod (150) being mounted in the core (130). The invention is used for the braking of motor vehicles.

  • Patent number: 4761564
Abstract: The invention is in the field of electrical switching. The contactor includes a control member (5) which moves in translation and is placed between two bars (12) and (13) made from an electrically conducting material. The control member includes a monobloc part interposed between the two bars and has bearing surfaces (5', 5") enabling the control of the pivoting of the bars about axes perpendicular to the translation axis of the control member (5), to produce a sequential opening or closing of one set of pairs of contacts (8, 11) and of another set of pairs of contacts (9, 10). The invention is applicable to the control of the electrical powering of a pump to maintain the pressure of a fluid within a predetermined range.
