  • Patent number: 4417124
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for treating, by an electromagnetic radiation, a composite part comprising a first material which is relatively more absorbent of said radiation and a second material which is relatively less absorbent thereof, both materials appearing in zones on the surface, whereby at least the first material is treated up to a given depth in the course of a relative displacement of the piece and of the radiation with respect to each other. The invention also relates to an installation for carrying out the process.

  • Patent number: 4163144
Abstract: A heated door is formed by two wooden face panels rendered fire-resistant, which are spaced apart by laths which define flues at the base of which are arranged one or more electrical heating elements. Openings are formed in the upper part and the lower part of each of the two face panels and into them are fitted deflectors or they are blocked by covers which are connected to the deflectors by screws. Arrangements are made for supplying power to and regulating the door and making it safe to use. This type of door is usable in dwelling or work spaces.

  • Patent number: 3991844
Abstract: The invention concerns a device and method for holding a storage battery provided with a general container against two walls at right angles on one of which the bottom of the container rests. According to the invention, a longitudinal part bearing vertically against the cells and not on the edge of the container is used and a pull is exerted on that part towards the ridge of the dihedral formed by the said two walls. Application of the invention is to storage batteries installed in land vehicles, sea craft or aircraft.

  • Patent number: 3960599
Abstract: Electro-chemical generators of the button type in which a stack of alternate positive and negative electrodes with separators between electrodes of opposite polarity are enclosed between two collectors which serve as terminals of opposite polarity for the generator. The assembly of electrodes, separators and collectors together with requisite electrolyte are held together by a molded insulative plastic frame which has portions overlying the peripheries of the collectors and which also may penetrate to a limited extent in the space between the peripheries of the collectors as by an insulative body encircling the electrode separator assembly. This body may be an electrically insulative ring, or an elastomer seal member.
