  • Patent number: 5448015
Abstract: Two identical components assembled together constitute a guide rack for optical cables fixed at the bottom of a subrack fitted with circuit boards. Optical jumpers are guided between support members and guide members. Each optical cable is easily positioned pending connection with its terminal connector part resting between two support members. This avoids tangling of the optical jumpers and ensures that any of the cables connected to the front panel of any circuit board can be replaced by the cable put into the waiting position without risk of confusion.

  • Patent number: 5315487
Abstract: A device for associative coding of printed circuit boards comprises a coding member comprising a central longitudinal member, attachment arms and a series of appendages the spacing between which is equal to the spacing between two board guide slideways. The front panel of each board incorporates a coding slot enabling an appendage to pass through it when the latter is aligned with the slot. The position of the coding slot is a characteristic common to all boards of a given family. After a first board is fitted into the subrack only other boards of the same family can be connected into the part of the subrack fitted with the coding member. This prevents the insertion into the same subrack or subrack compartment of boards from different and incompatible families although for a same product type and having the same functionality.

  • Patent number: 5175673
Abstract: The distributor is provided for the connection of external and internal cables for shielded cabinets employed in communication systems. It is composed of a cabinet-like housing having a door that is fastened in the cabinet, and of bars as carriers of plug-in connectors and blind bars. The bars have a U-shaped profile and are arranged to be inserted and locked in the rear wall of the housing. Together with the rear wall and the bottom plate of the housing, they form a shielding wall at which the external lines can be plugged into the plug-in connectors from the front (outside) while the internal lines are brought to it from tbe rear (inside).

  • Patent number: 4585303
Abstract: The header comprises: a plurality of optical connector supports (3) each having an elongate body in the form of a hollow finger (30) which is equipped at one end with an optical connector member (31) for interconnecting a pair of connection end fittings, and on one side with a coil former (32) for receiving the single fiber (55) of said cable (5) which has its end fitting (56) connected inside said finger to said connector member (31); and a magazine (1) comprising a plurality of individual cavities (10) for each of said optical connector supports (3) whose connector members constitute optical accesses to the individual fibers of said cable, said accesses being available in a "front" face (1C) of said magazine. It thus becomes possible to make optical connections to any of the individual fibers without affecting links passing via connections made to any of the other fibers.
