  • Publication number: 20180375569
Abstract: A method of telecommunications is proposed in a multi-spot geographical coverage system having an outbound path to transmit information, via a satellite or aircraft type relay device, from a plurality of ground stations to a plurality of terminals located in spots. Each downlink of the outbound path is associated with a color in an N-color re-use scheme with N?2. For at least one color (or sub-color), one of the ground stations transmits to the relay device all the information intended for transmission by the relay device with this color or (sub-color).

  • Patent number: 8976895
Abstract: Method for calibrating a linearizer and linearized electronic component the method comprises predistortion, in a predistortion linearizer, of a signal upstream of an electronic component to compensate nonlinear distortion. Determining predistortion setting parameters comprises applying a bifrequency test signal to the component and measuring the relative amplitudes of the lines at the output of the component. A variable indicative of the magnitude |Kp| of the AM/PM conversion coefficient of the component is calculated on the basis of these measurements. The predistortion setting parameters are adjusted so as to minimize |Kp|. The method may in particular be implemented in a linearized amplifier device and in an amplifier test bench.

  • Publication number: 20110130091
Abstract: A device for power amplification of a payload of a multibeam satellite for broadcasting data, in which the circuits (10) for amplifying the data signals to be broadcast are connected to the broadcasting antennas (40, 41, 42, 43) by switches (12) and addition circuits (20, 25, 26, 27) making it possible to select a predetermined broadcasting configuration of the data signals. A satellite equipped with such an amplification device is also described.

  • Patent number: 6678521
Abstract: Amplitudes and phases of different channels in an electromagnetic signal transmission network, whereof the sources are arranged in a triangular lattice, are determined by tiling the lattice with hexagons having six equal sides, the hexagonal tiles that are formed are distributed on the lattice such that two successive tiles along a direction in the lattice rectangular height equivalent to the triangular lattice are offset by an elementary step along the width direction. A Fourier transform is performed on the resulting tiles; directions are selected on the resulting new lattice corresponding to the transmission directions; an inverse Fourier transform is performed of the directions; and amplitude and phase coefficients to be applied to the transmission network different channels are deduced from the inverse Fourier transform.

  • Patent number: 6215458
Abstract: The low earth orbit radar remote sensing or telecommunication satellite includes an antenna forming member in a plane passing through the center of Earth, for example, the plane of its orbit. The antenna(s) are on one or both faces of the member. The height of the antenna forming member is greater than its dimension in the direction of travel of the satellite, so that the satellite is naturally stabilized by the gravity gradient. The solar generator cells are carried by the antenna forming member on the face that is kept facing towards the Sun in the case of a 6 H/18 H local time heliosynchronous orbit. The antenna forming member comprising a plurality of hinged panels over which the received or transmitted wave phase control means are distributed, it includes a plurality of GPS sensors distributed over the panels, enabling measurement and subsequent compensation by the phase-shifters of deformations of the member.

  • Patent number: 4918684
Abstract: A device to measure intermodulation products of a receiver of at least two electromagnetic signals of different frequencies comprises at least two channels for the transmission of the signals of different frequencies and one reflective reception channel connected to an apparatus for the measurement of intermodulation products. The reception channel enables the transfer of signals in a frequency band centered on the reception frequency band of the receiver. A reflective reception multiplexer/demultiplexer with directional filters provides for the interconnection of the two transmission channels of the reflective reception channel of the receiver.
