  • Patent number: 5328283
Abstract: A multi-function glass cleaning apparatus having a container provided With an opening closable by a plug, two principal opposite faces and two side walls, for receiving and storing a cleaning fluid. A handle is formed integrally with the container and defines a hand grasping portion. The hand grasping portion is transverse to the side walls. A first support member is formed integrally with the container on one of the faces thereof for supporting a scraping element which is secured to it. The first support member is parallel to the hand grasping portion and has a trough extending lengthwise thereof. The trough is in communication with the container via a small aperture. A second support member is formed integrally with the container for supporting a wiper which is secured to it. The second support member is parallel to the hand grasping portion and to the first support member.

  • Patent number: 5199359
Abstract: A twin-axle rail-bogie which incorporates a steering mechanism for positively steering one or both of the axles of the rail-bogie in proportion to the rotation of the frame of a structure supported by this rail-bogie. Steering is achieved by slidably mounting one of the axle end supporting assemblies onto the chassis of the bogie so that this assembly is longitudinally slidable and thus causes the one axle having one of its ends connected thereto to pivot forwards or rearwards out of its normal transverse position relative to the transversally opposite supporting assembly which holds the other end of the one axle and then acts as a pivot. An operating arm attached to the frame near the one supporting assembly is used for moving via a linking mechanism the one supporting assembly in such a direction as to cause the one axle held by this supporting assembly to pivot in the same direction but at an angle smaller than and proportional to the frame with respect to the chassis of the bogie.

  • Patent number: 5107772
Abstract: A rail bogie for hooking with semi-trailers and the like road vehicles comprises a truck having a wheel-mounted chassis and a fifth-wheel frame above the chassis. Power jacks or inflatable balloons are mounted between this chassis and the frame for moving the latter vertically between a low and a high positions relative to the chassis. There is also provided a locking combination on the frame and on the chassis capable of holding the frame releasably locked to the chassis when the said frame has reached the high position aforesaid. The bogie also includes a horizontal fifth-wheel support mounted on the frame for pivotal movement about a vertical axis whereby to allow it to sway laterally and a fifth-wheel is mounted at the other end of the support. The bogie further includes an assembly automatically centering the first wheel on the frame when the latter reaches its high position.

  • Patent number: 5009169
Abstract: A rail bogie is provided with a truck having a platform and railroad wheels beneath it for riding on railroad tracks; a first fifth wheel being mounted on the platform. A draw-bar, also mounted on the platform, includes a vertical leg and a horizontal foot on which are provided a lift plate, a further fifth wheel on the lift plate and a lift mechanism capable of moving the lift plate vertically relative to a connection block located at the upper end of the leg. The bogie is for use in combination with a road vehicle provided, at its rear end, with a hooking block in contact with the vertical leg of the draw-bar; the hooking block being formed with a socket into which is received the connection block of the rail bogie for vertical displacement when the lift plate is moved by the aforesaid lift mechanism. Projecting from the lower end of the hooking block is a coupling king pin lockingly engaged in the fifth wheel of the lift plate.
