  • Publication number: 20210020930
Abstract: A lithium titanium composite oxide including aluminum-coated primary particles and a method for manufacturing the same are disclosed. A lithium titanium composite oxide including aluminum-coated primary particles according to an embodiment is manufactured by coating lithium titanium oxide primary particles with aluminum by mixing an aluminum compound with re-pulverized particles and then by spray-drying the mixture again to prepare secondary particles. A battery including the lithium titanium composite oxide including the aluminum-coated primary particles exhibits effects of suppressing electrolyte decomposition and gas generation that may be respectively caused by titanium ions and residual lithium in conventional lithium titanium composite oxides.

  • Publication number: 20160079594
Abstract: Provided is a manufacturing method of a lithium-titanium composite oxide doped with different metals, solid-phase mixing after adjusting a mixing ratio of two kinds of different metals and pulverizing the same, and spray drying the same to adjust contents of impurities, and a lithium-titanium composite oxide doped with different metals manufactured therefrom. By doping two kinds of different metals on the surface of the lithium-titanium composite oxide after adjusting the ratio of the two different metals to be a desirable ratio, the contents of rutile-type titanium dioxide, anatase-type titanium dioxide and Li2TiO3 which have been included as impurities are reduced, thereby manufacturing titanium dioxide having excellent capacity characteristics and structural characteristics, and a battery including the titanium dioxide having excellent battery characteristics of high initial charge and discharge efficiency and rate capability.

  • Publication number: 20150329374
Abstract: The present invention relates to a lithium-manganese composite oxide in which the size of the face angle (vertical angle) of a primary particle is adjusted, and a method for preparing the same. The lithium-manganese composite oxide in which the size of the vertical angle of the primary particle is adjusted, and the method for preparing the same according to the present invention may gently adjust the size of the vertical angle of the polygon that constitutes a primary particle having a shape of a convex polyhedron in the lithium-manganese composite oxide, thus preventing the formation of convex-concave portions at the surface of an electrode plate in the process of forming the electrode plate by means of rolling during the manufacturing of a battery, thereby having an effect of improving characteristics of the battery.

  • Publication number: 20140322609
Abstract: The present invention relates to a preparation method of a lithium titanium composite oxide doped with a dissimilar metal, and a lithium titanium composite oxide doped with a dissimilar metal prepared thereby, and more particularly, to a preparation method of a lithium titanium composite oxide doped with a dissimilar metal in which sizes of primary particles are finely controlled by doping a dissimilar metal and using a spray-drying method, and a lithium titanium composite oxide doped with a dissimilar metal prepared thereby. According to the present invention, the preparation method of a lithium titanium composite oxide doped with a dissimilar metal, and the lithium titanium composite oxide doped with a dissimilar metal prepared thereby allow sizes of primary particles to be finely controlled as compared with conventional lithium titanium composite oxide, and inhibit rutile titanium dioxide generation, thereby providing a battery with a high initial charge-discharge efficiency and a high rate capability.
