Abstract: A video signal recording format, a deep recording/reproducing apparatus of a video signal and method therefor includes a recording system in which a digital video signal of one frame is divided into a predetermined number of segments and recorded on a surface level of a recording medium using a corresponding number of tracks, and an undivided digital video signal of one frame is recorded in the predetermined number of tracks on a deep level of the recording medium, and a reproducing system in which the digital video signal recorded on the recording medium is reproduced, with the surface-level-recorded data being reproduced during normal speed playback and with the deep-level-recorded data being reproduced during multi-functional playback (high-speed playback). The apparatus and method reduces the overhead of data on the surface level of a recording medium to thereby increase recording efficiency.

Abstract: A display device using laser comprises an input path for a composite video signal, a memory for storing the video signal by picture regions divided according to the size of picture, a controller for controlling the scanning position and the division of picture regions, a semiconductor laser for reading out R, G and B signals from the memory, and then scanning laser beams, and a scanning controller for controlling the path of a laser beam. The device displays an optical signal on a wall or large white surface without an additional cathode ray tube and adjusts screen size by controlling the distance between the device and the display surface.

Abstract: A video reproducing apparatus which controls a revolution speed of the rotary drum to have a variable speed according to the tape transport speed during a special playback, and maintains the inclination angle of the head running locus to be the same as that during a standard playback. The apparatus comprises a capstan servo, a drum servo, a time base corrector, and a control circuit which controls the above elements, thereby displaying a clear picture without noise bars during the special playback modes.

Abstract: An antenna controlling apparatus for automatically fine tuning the broadcast signal received via an antenna to precisely tune a desired channel at a tuner including an antenna driving unit for controlling the direction of an antenna to be in the optimum condition for receiving radio waves according to the radio-wave receiving condition transmitted via the antenna, a sensor for detecting the variation of the antenna as the direction of the antenna changes by the antenna driving unit, a memory for storing direction information of the antenna detected by the sensor when the direction of the antenna is in the optimum condition for receiving radio waves, and a microcomputer for reading out for a given channel the position information of the antenna corresponding to the optimum condition for the channel.
