Abstract: An apparatus and method for fabricating the light guide panel reduces the thickness of the stamper and fixes it firmly in place. The apparatus and method for fabricating the light guide panel according to the present invention has a stamper for forming patterns on the light guide panel and first and second side mold frames which are separable so as to hold the stamper in place during the formation of the light guide and so as to easily eject the finished light guide after it has formed and hardened.

Abstract: Provided is a method of controlling a pointer, such as changing between a pointer mode for activating the pointer and a search key mode for deactivating the pointer, in a mobile terminal having a pointing device. The method of controlling a pointer includes detecting movement input by the pointing device; identifying whether the detected movement satisfies a condition of changing a display mode; if the detected movement satisfies a condition of changing a display mode, displaying the pointer by changing the current display mode to a pointer mode; identifying whether a specific key is input; and if the specific key is input, hiding the pointer by changing the current display mode to a search key mode. Additionally, if elapsed time measured after displaying the pointer exceeds a predetermined value, the display mode of the mobile terminal may automatically be changed to a search key mode.

At least one of said multiple of panels is made of mesh material so that inside can be seen, and emblem like numbers, figures and others that user wants are printed or embroidered on outside of the said headband, and the said panel that made of mesh material and the emblems of the said headband are overlapped each other so that the emblems of headband can be seen between the panels made of mesh material, which provides an unique decorative effect.

Abstract: A method and system for providing a user interface for a calendar planner application in a mobile phone. The method includes determining whether a string of digits is input, displaying the string of digits if at least one digit is input, counting the number of digits in the string, and displaying a month view in which a day indicated by the string of the digits is highlighted, the day being defined according to the number of the digits. The method and system for providing a user interface for a mobile phone according to the present invention allows a user to quickly navigate the calendar so as to reach an intended day or month by direct number key inputs, thus enhancing ease of use.

Abstract: An apparatus and a method for supporting a multimedia service which is capable of collecting opinions on a certain subject by receiving an opinion message in response to an opinion request message attached a plurality of images transmitted together with check widgets is provided. The method includes preparing at least two images, attaching at least two prepared images as thumbnail images to the multimedia service message for display at the same time, and transmitting the multimedia service message with the images. Accordingly, the user can make a decision, by negotiating with the counterpart user, on a subject such as a purchase of goods or a selection of foods.

Abstract: A portable device and a special character input method for the portable device. The portable device includes a controller for controlling display of more than one special character groups simultaneously, each special character group having a plurality of special characters, and a display for displaying the special character groups simultaneously under control of the controller. The special character input method classifies the special characters into a plurality of special character groups, displays the special character groups simultaneously, and presents a special character group in an enlarged pop-up window, thereby improving legibility of the characters and simplifying key manipulation for inputting the special characters.

Abstract: A multimedia content production method using a portable device. The multimedia content production method according to the present invention retrieves at least one picture file from a storage, produces at least one sound file corresponding to the retrieved picture file, creates a combination file by combining the picture file and the sound file, and integrates at least one combination file into a multimedia file. Since the multimedia content production method according to the present invention may create a multimedia file by combining a plurality of picture and sound files belonged to an identical theme and arranging the multimedia files in a sequential order, it is possible to improve the utilization of the portable device equipped with a camera (for capturing pictures) and obtaining an information transfer efficiency comparable to that of a motion picture transfer efficiency using a minimal amount of data.

Abstract: An apparatus and method of optimally correcting a static deflection caused by a weight of an end effector coupled to a robot arm or a load on the end effector when the end effector is activated to handle a large sheet of glass. A deflection angle of the end effector is corrected by inserting a compensation member into a joint of the robot arm, and the static deflection caused by the weight of the handling robot when conveying the sheet of glass is also corrected in real time.

Abstract: Disclosed is a liquid crystal display device that mitigates performance degradation problems, which result from assembling and fastening the covers of the liquid crystal display device. By incorporating a protecting unit that substantially isolates fastening screws from the inner volume between the upper and lower covers of the liquid crystal display device, impurities introduced by friction between the fastening screws and the covers are contained, preventing them from contamination driver circuitry in the liquid crystal display device. Further, the protecting unit holds the lamp wires for the backlight of the liquid crystal display device, preventing the fastening screws from contacting the lamp wires and potentially exposing the inner wire, which may lead to instability in the backlight supply voltage.
