  • Publication number: 20070019142
Abstract: A liquid crystal display includes a common electrode panel having a first substrate, a color filter formed on the substrate and having a light hole, a common electrode formed on the color filter and into the light hole, a first insulating film formed on the common electrode and formed into the light hole, a thin film transistor (TFT) panel facing the common electrode panel, and a liquid crystal layer interposed between the common electrode panel and the TFT panel. The TFT panel includes a second substrate, a transmissive electrode formed on the second substrate, and a reflective electrode formed on the second substrate and connected to the transmissive electrode.

  • Publication number: 20060281204
Abstract: A manufacturing method of an LCD comprises forming an insulating substrate; forming a gate line extending in a horizontal direction and a data line insulatively crossing the gate line to define a pixel area on the insulating substrate; forming a TFT disposed at an intersection of the gate line and the data line and comprising a drain electrode; forming an organic passivation layer on the TFT; forming a drain contact hole exposing the drain electrode and forming an embossing pattern in the organic passivation layer by disposing and pressurizing a mold having an intaglio pattern corresponding to the pixel area and a projection corresponding to the drain electrode on the organic passivation layer; and forming a pixel electrode connected to the drain electrode through the drain contact hole.

  • Publication number: 20060274021
Abstract: The present invention relates to a display device, and more particularly to a display device in which gate lines and a main gate driver can be repaired. The display device includes a plurality of pixels respectively including a switching element, a gate line connected to the switching element, and first and second gate drivers respectively including a plurality of stages that are interconnected and sequentially generate output signals. Any one of the stages of the first gate driver and any one of the stages of the second gate driver are connected to the same gate line. In this manner, gate drivers that generate the same output are disposed in one gate line on the left and right sides. It is therefore possible to repair disconnected gate lines without using a laser.

  • Publication number: 20060221277
Abstract: A transreflective LCD includes a plurality of pixels arranged in a matrix, each including a switching element, a backlight for supplying light to the pixels, and first, second, third, and fourth capacitors which are individually connected to output terminals of the switching elements. Each pixel includes a transmissive area for transmitting light from the backlight, and a first reflective area and a second reflective area for reflecting light originating from the exterior environment. In this way, the reflective area is divided into two areas and the auxiliary capacitor is provided in one area of the two. The gamma curves of the transmissive mode and the reflective mode can meet together at a curve by controlling the dimension ratio and the voltage ratio of the two areas. In this way, color display showing uniform color sense can be realized without regard to changes in mode.

  • Publication number: 20060134494
Abstract: The present invention relates to a branched and sulphonated multi block copolymer and an electrolyte membrane using the same, more precisely, a branched and sulphonated multi block copolymer composed of the repeating unit represented by formula 1 and a preparation method thereof, a hydrogenated branched and sulphonated multi block copolymer, a branched and sulphonated multi block copolymer electrolyte membrane and a fuel cell to which the branched and sulphonated multi block copolymer electrolyte membrane is applied. The electrolyte membrane of the present invention has high proton conductivity and excellent mechanical properties as well as chemical stability, so it can be effectively used for the production of thin film without the decrease of membrane properties according to the increase of sulfonic acid group since it enables the regulation of the distribution, the location and the number of sulfonic acid group in polymer backbone.
