  • Publication number: 20220353524
Abstract: Provided is a parallel forensic marking apparatus. The forensic marking apparatus may include a split part configured to split one frame of content, compressed using a setting method, into a plurality of regions, a plurality of decoding parts configured to have the split regions assigned thereto, respectively, and to perform entropy-decode the split regions, and a synchronization part configured to complete the frame by synchronizing the regions input to and output from the plurality of decoding parts.

  • Patent number: 7035442
Abstract: This invention relates to a user authenticating system and a method using aone-time fingerprint template. The system and the method according to the invention are improvements of the conventional user authentication based on the manner of comparing the fingerprint feature data only, for the purpose of preventing a false authentication by misusing fingerprint feature data, if exposed in the course of transfer thereof. In the system and the method according to the invention, fingerprint feature data of a user are combined with an OTT key transferred from a server. The combined result is encoded and transferred to an authenticating server. The authenticating server then confirms validity of the OTT key and authenticates the user based on the fingerprint. Thus, the present invention has an advantage of preventing a false authentication through hacking, etc., even if the OTT key is exposed to a network, because the OTT key is used only once for authentication.

  • Patent number: 6995384
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for distinguishing a latent fingerprint is provided to prevent a fingerprint recognition apparatus from mis-recognizing a latent fingerprint as a fingerprint of a biomass due to a fingerprint residual on an imaging surface of an optical fingerprint input apparatus. According to the present invention, there is provided a backlight control device for controlling switching on and off of the backlight; an image acquisition device for acquiring a fingerprint image without illuminating the backlight onto the imaging surface; a fingerprint detection device for detecting the existence of a fingerprint from the image acquired by the image acquisition device; and a device for determining that the fingerprint, if detected by the fingerprint detection device, is a latent fingerprint detected due to an external light.
