    Abstract: A method for regenerating an end of life (EOL) cell which comprises an electrode assembly including a cathode, an anode, and a separator interposed between the cathode and the anode, wherein the EOL cell is left under a high temperature environment of 80° C. or higher for a predetermined time while pressure is applied thereto, whereby gas located within the electrode assembly is moved to the outer portion of the electrode assembly is provided. The method can regenerate an EOL cell in a simple and economical way without breaking or damaging the same, and furthermore can also be applied to a pack or module which is an extended unit of the cell. A pressuring jig is also provided.

    Abstract: An apparatus and method for determining electrode information of a battery including a positive electrode and a negative electrode, and a battery pack including the apparatus. The apparatus includes a sensing unit configured to measure a voltage and a current of the battery, and a processor. The processor generates a V-dQ/dV curve based on the voltage and the current of the battery. The V-dQ/dV curve indicates a relationship between V (the voltage of the battery) and dQ/dV (a ratio of an amount of change dQ of the remaining capacity to an amount of change dV of the voltage of the battery). The processor detects a plurality of feature points from the V-dQ/dV curve. The processor determines information associated with each of the first electrode and the second electrode as the electrode information based on the plurality of feature points.

The lithium metal battery shows reduced resistance at the interface with an electrode and increased ion conductivity, has improved safety, and provides improved energy density of an electrode.

    Abstract: According to a method of controlling uniformity of plasma, a first RF driving pulse signal including first RF pulses is generated by pulsing a first RF signal having a first frequency, and a second RF driving pulse signal including second RF pulses is generated by pulsing a second RF signal having a second, lower frequency. The first and second RF driving signals are applied to a top electrode and/or a bottom electrode of a plasma chamber. A harmonic control signal including harmonic control pulses is generated based on timing of the first and second RF pulses. A harmonic component of the first and second RF driving pulse signals is reduced via intermittent activation and deactivation of a harmonic control circuit as controlled by the harmonic control signal. The uniformity of plasma is improved through the control based on timings of the RF driving pulses.
