  • Publication number: 20070281114
Abstract: An artificial stone, including a solid material and surface-treated stone elements in the solid material, wherein the surface-treated stone elements are transparent stone elements having a coloring material disposed on surfaces thereof.
    Type: Application
    Filed: June 6, 2007
    Publication date: December 6, 2007
Inventors: Do Rha, Eung Park, Jae Juen
  • Publication number: 20070240818
Abstract: A composite solid surface article includes a surface layer with at least one first polymeric resin and a filler, and a backing layer on the surface layer with at least one second polymeric resin and wood particles.
    Type: Application
    Filed: June 15, 2007
    Publication date: October 18, 2007
Inventors: Jae Juen, Eung Park, Do Rha
  • Publication number: 20070243369
Abstract: A foamed stone article has a lower artificial stone layer and an upper foam layer that are a single body. A composition for the foamed stone article includes about 100 parts by weight of acrylic resin, about 10 to about 80 parts by weight of solid particles and about 0.1 to about 10 parts by weight of an initiator.
    Type: Application
    Filed: June 15, 2007
    Publication date: October 18, 2007
Inventors: Eung Park, Do Rha, Jae Juen
  • Publication number: 20060267230
Abstract: The method for preparing an artificial marble having a crack pattern is disclosed. The method includes preparing a first and a second polymeric compositions of different viscosities; pouring the first polymeric composition into a molding cell; pouring the second polymeric composition onto the first polymeric composition; allowing migration of the first polymeric composition to the upper part of the second polymeric composition due to the difference in viscosity between the first and the second compositions; and curing the two polymeric compositions to form a crack pattern. The viscosity of the first polymeric composition is lower than that of the second polymeric composition.
    Type: Application
    Filed: August 4, 2006
    Publication date: November 30, 2006
Inventors: Do Rha, Eung Park, Jae Juen
  • Publication number: 20060121264
Abstract: The invention relates to a composite solid surface article. More particularly, the invention relates to a composite solid surface article containing fibers and polymeric powder particles. A composite solid surface article may comprise a matrix of at least one polymeric resin, randomly-shaped fibers dispersed in the matrix, wherein the article comprises a substantially smooth surface with a viewable pattern formed by one or more ingredients of the composite solid surface article, the viewable pattern comprises at least part of the randomly-shaped fibers.
    Type: Application
    Filed: December 8, 2005
    Publication date: June 8, 2006
Inventors: Do Choon Rha, Eung Park, Jae Juen
