  • Patent number: 5454343
Abstract: A invention provides a method for production of diamond particles. The solvent metallic disk of a starting material specimen used in this diamond synthesis is divided into two layers. An intermediate layer is interposed between the two solvent metallic layers, so that the diamond crystals, formed on the two solvent metallic surfaces in contact with graphite disks and influenced by gravity, are not floated on the upper surface of the solvent metallic disk but grown at their positions in the individual solvent metallic layers at which they were nucleated. Hence, the method of this invention results in formation of the same number of diamond products, having the same size and desired good quality, on opposed surfaces or the upper and lower surfaces of the solvent metallic disk. The intermediate layer is a thin disk made of tungsten or molybdenum and having a thickness ranged from 10 .mu.m to 100 .mu.m.

  • Patent number: 5428405
Abstract: An apparatus and method of fine adjustment of tuning data for a TV receiver which can achieve fine adjustment of tuning data quickly and accurately. The apparatus includes a AFT information memory for storing AFT information on the detuned frequency of a selected channel, and a microcomputer for reading the corresponding AFT information of the selected channel from the AFT information memory and providing tuning data by calculating the read AFT information and a center frequency of the selected channel. The microcomputer also performs search operation if the broadcasting signal of the selected channel is inaccurately tuned in order to detect the detuned frequency thereof. The apparatus is also provided with a fine adjustment key for increasing/decreasing the tuning data so as to perform accurate tuning. The tuning data increased/decreased by the fine adjustment key is then stored in the AFT information memory for use in the next tuning.

  • Patent number: 5403403
Abstract: A method for processing fluorescent material which removes various impurities contained in fluorescent material recovered in developing a fluorescent coating on a fluorescent screen of a color image receiving tube. The recovered fluorescent material can therefore be reused. The method comprises the steps of recovering unexposed fluorescent material which comes off on being developed, dispersing the recovered fluorescent material in water, cleaning the dispersed fluorescent material with an alkali, draining and washing the resultant fluorescent material in water, dehydrating and drying the fluorescent material, and screen-sizing the dried fluorescent material through mesh. Optionally, the cleaned fluorescent material is surface-treated with a colloidal silica (water glass) solution and zinc hydroxide suspension.
