  • Publication number: 20120204047
Abstract: Methods of operating an integrated circuit include determining a difference between a reference level and a level of a power supply voltage at a processor circuit of the integrated circuit, generating a digital code responsive to the determined difference and transmitting the digital code to a power management integrated circuit that provides power to the integrated circuit. The power management integrated circuit may adjust the power supply voltage responsive to the transmitted code. Integrated circuits and data processing systems are also provided.

  • Patent number: 8020189
Abstract: A fast adaptive channel converting method and apparatus, and a computer readable recording medium having recorded thereon a program to execute the fast adaptive channel converting method. The fast adaptive channel converting method includes generating adjacent channel data by pre-signal processing an adjacent channel signal of a reference channel, receiving a channel change request from a user, searching for channel data corresponding to a changed channel in the adjacent channel data, and reproducing the searched channel data. Unlike a conventional technology, the fast adaptive channel changing apparatus and method prevents a screen blank time that may occur while changing a channel in a digital broadcast receiving apparatus, and thus boredom or inconvenience of a user can be removed. Also, when a channel is changed by using a preferred channel list, a channel search time can be remarkably reduced, and the user can easily watch a program of a preferred channel.

  • Publication number: 20060140168
Abstract: An apparatus and method for generating electric power by using magnetic fields are provided. A sensor node has a coil unit having a spiral structure in a plane that generates an induced electromotive force by using magnetic fields; a conversion unit configured to convert the induced electromotive force into DC power; and an integrated circuit for performing operations using the converted DC power. The sensor node may be disposed on a flexible plate substrate or film, and is attached to or placed on readily available electronic appliance cases which serve as magnetic field sources. The plate substrate or film can be provided with a metal shielding film. The metal shielding film may also be grounded, or the plate substrate or film may be provided with a metal shielding film accompanying an impedance-matching RF circuit for preventing reflection of magnetic fields passing through the coil unit.

  • Publication number: 20030231641
Abstract: A home gateway system having a display device therein. The home gateway system is connected through plural high-speed home buses of plural lines to plural home network devices, for converting data and thus enabling data communication among an external communication network and the plural home network devices. The home gateway system includes a memory, and a control unit for causing data processed at a display device of a home network device to be respectively categorized into user classifications and stored in the memory, and causing the stored data to be displayed at a display device of another home network device that is intended by a user. As a result, the user is enabled to use data processed at a display device of one home network device at a display device of another home network device of the same home network.

  • Patent number: 6061427
Abstract: A transmission power control method in an Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL) system for transmitting data through a telephone line interposed between an ADSL-TUC (Transmission Unit Center) and an ADSL-TUR (Transmission Unit Remote). The ADSL system compares a noise margin with a reference value and reduces a transmission power level of a transmission signal step-by-step, beginning from an initial maximum power level. When the transmission power level is reduced to the point that the noise margin no longer exceeds the reference value, the transmission power level is then restored to a level just high enough that the noise margin is greater than the reference value. As a result crosstalk is minimized while permitting optimum data transmission rates and saving transmission power.
