The apparatus includes a buffer to store a print command, a driver storing unit to store a plurality of printer drivers corresponding to a designated printer, a driver selecting unit to select a printer driver corresponding to printer identification information from the driver storing unit when the printer identification information is input, and a command processing unit generate data that is used for printing by processing the print command stored in the buffer using the selected printer driver and generating an error signal if an error occurs during processing the print command.

Abstract: A system and method to select a print area to be printed from a document, to search the selected print area for blank areas, and to print and/or store the selected print area, having a size of the searched blank areas turned into a predetermined size or other space marker. Thus, the number of printed pages is reduced by printing only parts of documents in which there exists data for printout. Similarly, readability is improved, and comparison of data with other documents is facilitated. Further, a user can easily select certain content titles in a document for printing and/or storage while skipping underlying data content, and so on, so as to increase the user's satisfaction with printout results.

Abstract: An image forming device and a controlling method thereof, in which the image forming device includes: a customer replaceable unit memory (CRUM) associated with a recording material storage medium to store a color conversion table group including a color conversion table that corresponds to status information of the image forming device, and a controller to determine current status information of the image forming device, to read a target color conversion table from among the color conversion table group according to the determined current status information, and to apply the target color conversion table to perform a printing operation on a document. Therefore, an optimum print quality can be guaranteed according to the determined current status of the image forming device.

Abstract: An enlargement print processing method to enlarge print data and divisionally print the enlarged print data on a plurality of print media, the method including: receiving an enlargement rate to enlarge the print data; determining whether a number of print media, on which the enlarged print data is to be printed, is reducible according to a changed orientation of the plurality of print media; and generating divisional images of the enlarged printing data to have the changed orientation if the number of print media is reducible according to the changed orientation.

Abstract: A user terminal device having a spooling control function and a control method thereof, the user terminal device comprising a spooling part to spool print data, a monitoring part to monitor the image forming apparatus, and a driver part to compare time when the print data is input to the spooling part with present time if the image forming apparatus is determined to be available by the monitoring part, and to determine whether to process a printing job for the print data according to a comparison result between the input time and the present time. Accordingly, unnecessary print data stored in the spooler can be prevented from printing.

Abstract: Disclosed are a method for automatically adjusting the warm-up time of an image forming apparatus and an apparatus for performing the method. A printing method of an image forming apparatus comprises receiving geographical data and print time data, setting a warm-up time of the image forming apparatus on the basis of the received data, warming up the image forming apparatus for the set warm-up time when warm-up is necessary, and starting a print job of the image forming apparatus as needed. Accordingly, the warm-up time is automatically adjusted according to the geographical location of the image forming apparatus.

The method of generating a device driver having a plurality of functional components includes generating a file for each functional component of a device driver and a user interface; when a modification of a functional component is needed, rebuilding only a file corresponding to the functional component to be modified to make a device driver installation program; and reconstructing device driver information using a file corresponding to a functional component selected by a user on the device driver installation program and generating a device driver using the reconstructed device driver information.
