  • Publication number: 20120067722
Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus for measuring a biomaterial, comprising: a first substrate having a recess in one side thereof; a second substrate having reference and operating electrodes where a biochemical reaction of a biomaterial occurs, and first and second delivery electrodes delivering electric signals from the reaction to a detector; and reaction reagents fixed at the second substrate causing the reaction with the biomaterial, wherein the first or the second substrate has a tilted surface toward a sample-inlet in a height direction. The second substrate is attached to the first substrate such that a portion of the recess forms the sample-inlet, and the reference and operating electrodes are directed toward the recess. The tilted surface prevents the sample-inlet from being blocked by a finger of the user when introducing the biomaterial through the sample-inlet in the event the used substrate has three-dimensional structures with substantial thickness.

  • Publication number: 20100180712
Abstract: A dual slider assembly for a mobile phone is provided which can perform semiautomatic bidirectional sliding operation using a single spring mechanism. The dual slider assembly includes a fixed plate. A first sliding plate is coupled to the fixed plate for sliding movement in a first sliding direction and is formed with a guide slot parallel to a second sliding direction. A second sliding plate is coupled to the first sliding plate for sliding movement in the second sliding direction. The dual slider assembly further includes an elastic means for applying an elastic force to maintain the first sliding plate and the second sliding plate in a stationary state, the elastic means having a first end pivotably secured to the fixed plate and a second end pivotably secured to the second sliding plate and restrained to slide along the guide slot of the first sliding plate.

  • Patent number: 5982575
Abstract: A video cassette recorder includes a driving unit, a pair of pole base assemblies and power conveying unit for conveying a power from the driving unit to the pole base assemblies, the power conveying unit having a pair of link devices for transmitting a power from the driving unit into its corresponding pole base assembly and allowing the pole base assemblies to load a tape. Each of the link devices has a deformable bent portion for exerting a resilient force on the loaded tape.

  • Patent number: 5557101
Abstract: The detector comprises a disc-like reel table adapted to support a tape reel thereon, the reel table having a reflective underneath surface and an array of concentric spaced-apart cutouts uniformly disposed on the reflective surface along a common imaginary circle whose center coincides with a rotational axis of the tape reel, each of the cutouts having a light scattering surface capable of reducing the intensity of a light beam incident thereupon to an appreciable level. A light emitter is located in an opposing relationship with respect to the reel table for projecting the light beam toward the reflective underneath surface and the light scattering surface of the reel table. Positioned adjacent to the light emitter is a light receiver for receiving the light beam reflected back from the reel table to produce a pulse signal when the intensity of the received light beam varies over time in a pulse pattern.
