  • Publication number: 20240358764
Abstract: The present disclosure provides new and innovative compositions of Neuronal regeneration-promoting cells (NRPCs), methods for generating NRPCs, and methods of treating subjects having damaged nerve cells using NRPCs. In an embodiment, the NRPCs are induced from tonsil-derived mesenchymal stem cells and express CD26, CD106, CD112, CD121a, and CD141, wherein CD121a has an expression level of about 30% or higher, the expression level measured immediately after thawing the NRPCs from a frozen state. Furthermore, the NRPCs are configured to promote formation of axons on neuronal cells.

  • Publication number: 20230392114
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to method for screening mesenchymal stem cell-derived, neuronal regeneration-promoting cells having neuronal regeneration activity and a pharmaceutical composition containing the neuronal regeneration-promoting cells. The neuronal regeneration-promoting cells of the present disclosure are completely different from stem cells in terms of the expression pattern of a CD marker and exhibit an excellent neuronal regeneration effect. Accordingly, they can be applied in various fields for preventing or treating neurological diseases.

  • Publication number: 20120121544
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for efficiently proliferating and differentiating natural killer cells (NK cells) from umbilical cord blood, more precisely a method for efficiently proliferating and differentiating natural killer cells from umbilical cord blood comprising the following steps: 1) preparing CD3 negative cells by eliminating CD3 positive T-cells from umbilical cord blood derived mononuclear cells; and 2) culturing the CD3 negative cells after treating various cytokines thereto. The present invention is advantageous in obtaining high purity NK cells in a short period of time by inducing NK cells from CD3 negative cells, compared with the conventional method inducing NK cells from haematopoietic stem cells, and in promoting NK cell proliferation and differentiation by treating different cytokines together, for example by the co-treatment of IL-15 and IL-21.
