  • Publication number: 20100327760
Abstract: The present invention relates to an inverter and the driving method. The inverter according to exemplary embodiment of the present invention generates a plurality of feedback voltages corresponding to driving voltages of a plurality of discharge lamps. The inverter generates a first minimum voltage having a smaller feedback voltage of a plurality of feedback voltages and compares the first minimum voltage and a short circuit reference voltage in order to determine a short circuit of at least two discharge lamps. The inverter senses a short circuit lamp of a plurality of the discharge lamps by using the comparison result and a first sawtooth wave signal having a predetermined period.

  • Patent number: 7743187
Abstract: An audio system sets a signal line path between the medium of an audio device and an external device and uploads a digital audio file from the external device to the audio device according to a user's manipulation of the audio. In addition, a communication system selectively uses USB and UART communications by commonly using a single USB connector and connects a connector of an external device and an audio/USB/UART common connector through a single cable, so that audio/USB or audio/UART signals are selectively outputted through a common audio signal line. Accordingly, the audio system can interface with various kinds of external devices without external modification or additional installation of a dedicated interface in the audio device with a USB connector. In addition, the USB/UART common communication system can commonly use the USB connector without regard to USB and UART connection signals and can selectively output the audio/USB or audio/UART signals through the single cable in the audio device.

  • Publication number: 20100079176
Abstract: A load driver includes an inverter and an inverter driver. The inverter converts an input voltage into a driving voltage of a discharge lamp using at least one first switch for switching according to a duty ratio, and the inverter driver controls the inverter. The inverter driver controls the duty ratio using a voltage of a capacitor and a control signal having a waveform that is repeated with a predetermined frequency. The capacitor is charged and discharged by a current corresponding to a difference between a feedback voltage corresponding to a current flow to the discharge lamp and a reference voltage. Such inverter driver controls to gradually increase the output voltage of the inverter in the soft start period by setting the voltage of the capacitor as a voltage corresponding to the control signal.

  • Publication number: 20090224692
Abstract: An inverter driver controls an inverter that supplies driving voltages to a plurality of discharge lamps. The inverter driver includes a first amplifier having an output terminal, a second amplifier having an output terminal connected to the output terminal of the first amplifier, and a capacitor connected between the output terminal and a ground source. The first amplifier outputs only a negative current corresponding to the maximum value among the driving voltages supplied to the plurality of discharge lamps, and the second amplifier outputs a current corresponding to the maximum value among the driving currents flowing through the plurality of discharge lamps. Such inverter driver controls the inverter according to a voltage of the capacitor.
