  • Publication number: 20240044503
Abstract: A cooking appliance may include a casing having a cavity therein, and a door configured to open and close the cavity. A door locking device disposed in the casing may lock the door in a closed state. A locking housing of the door locking device may include a latch and a closing button. The latch may be caught by a fixing hole of the door while being rotated, and the closing button may be pressed by a rear surface of the door. As described above, a device (closing button) that detects closing of the door, and a device (latch) that locks the door into the closed state may be formed in one door locking device. Thus, the closing button and the latch may occupy only a small amount of installation space in the cooking appliance, so that the cooking appliance may be miniaturized.

  • Patent number: 11454436
Abstract: A refrigerator and a method for controlling the same are disclosed. The refrigerator may minimize the size and material cost of the control system by controlling the internal temperature and the speed of a compressor using a thermostat used in the conventional low-capacity/low-cost refrigerator without using a system controller equipped with various sensors (internal sensors and/or external sensors) capable of controlling the internal temperature. In addition, since an inverter controller capable of controlling a BLDC compressor estimates the internal/external temperature based on operation information of the compressor, and determines the internal load, it may save energy and reduce vibrations and noise, which are the largest disadvantages of a constant-speed compressor, thereby improving satisfaction of the consumer. In addition, the BLDC compressor may be started and operated stably by applying a differentiated algorithm of the inverter controller.

  • Patent number: 11243306
Abstract: In a method for estimating a position of a missile, an incident angle of a signal of a radar irradiated to the moving missile is calculated. The incident angle is defined by an angle between a measurement vector indicating a direction from the radar toward the missile and a movement vector indicating a moving direction of the missile. A distance compensation value from a point on a surface of the missile to an origin point of the missile is calculated based on the calculated incident angle. A distance from the radar to the origin point of the missile is calculated based on the calculated distance compensation value and a distance from the radar to the point on the surface of the missile. A position of the missile is estimated based on a position of the radar and the calculated distance from the radar to the origin point of the missile.

  • Patent number: 9293750
Abstract: A porous membrane contains a polyethylene resin, in a core layer, pores of sizes that are relatively larger than those of pores in each of skin layers on the opposite sides are distributed, and the skin layers on the opposite sides have substantially same pore characteristics. A method for manufacturing a porous membrane includes the steps of: obtaining a mixture of a liquid-type paraffin oil and a solid-type paraffin wax; adding the mixture to a polyethylene resin to obtain a raw material resin mixture; extruding and cooling the raw material resin mixture; stretching the raw material resin mixture; and immersing the stretched raw material resin mixture in an organic solvent to extract a mixture of the oil and the wax.
