  • Patent number: 9209645
Abstract: There is provided a method and apparatus for controlling charging of a secondary battery. The apparatus includes a receiving unit, a sensing unit and a charging controller. The receiving unit receives a full-charge time of the secondary battery from a user terminal. The sensing unit monitors a charging state of the secondary battery. The charging controller controls charging of the secondary battery, using the full-charge time and the charging state. Accordingly, the charging of a secondary battery is controlled to be completed at a full-charge time desired by a user, thereby preventing deterioration of the secondary battery.

  • Publication number: 20150134169
Abstract: An apparatus includes a controller to output a signal through an interface. The signal may control at least one parameter of a motor based on a state of capacity degradation of a battery for driving the motor. The at least one parameter may be motor torque. Also, the signal may include a value indicative of a capacity degradation of a battery for driving a motor. The capacity degradation of the battery may be determined based on a number of charging and/or discharging operations performed for the battery.

  • Publication number: 20150134170
Abstract: A password setting device includes a selection button and a plurality of light-emitting elements. The selection button determines a state of charge of a battery pack and is also used to enter various types of information including symbols of a password. The light-emitting elements to emit light depending on the state of charge of the battery pack in a first mode. At least some of the light-emitting elements correspond to symbols of a password in at least a second mode. The password is to be set or input based on the light-emitting elements that emit light at a time when the selection button is activated in at least the second mode.
