  • Patent number: 10955559
Abstract: A global navigation satellite system (GNSS) receiver includes an internal signal processor configured to perform an internal signal processing operation on a satellite signal to generate satellite information, a switching circuit configured to transmit the satellite signal to the internal signal processor, and a control circuit configured to receive a blanking signal from an external communication device instructing that the internal signal processing operation is to be blocked, and configured to output control information for reducing transmission power of the external communication device and to control the switching circuit to transmit the satellite signal to the internal signal processor regardless of the blanking signal when a frequency at which the blanking signal is received exceeds a reference value.

  • Patent number: 10444374
Abstract: A GNSS receiver includes a RF unit, a baseband processing unit, a storage unit, a mode control unit and a counter unit. The RF unit receives a satellite signal from an external satellite. The baseband processing unit determines present operation environment of the GNSS receiver based on the satellite signal. The storage unit stores information received by the RF unit and information generated by the baseband processing unit. The mode control unit controls an operation mode of the GNSS receiver based on the present operation environment. The operation mode includes a normal mode and a low power mode. The counter unit counts a first number representing a number of consecutive times in which the GNSS receiver has entered the low power mode. When the GNSS receiver enters the low power mode, the mode control unit turns off at least one of the RF unit, the baseband processing unit and the storage unit based on the first number.

  • Patent number: 7711041
Abstract: In a method of estimating a signal-to-interference ratio (SIR), a first average channel power per slot of a first channel that is under a fading environment is estimated. A second average channel power per slot of a second channel that is under a fading environment substantially the same as the first channel is estimated, wherein the first and second channels are multiplexed. A second signal power attenuation ratio of the second channel is calculated using the second average power per slot of the second channel. A third average power per slot of the first channel is calculated using the first average power per slot of the first channel and a reciprocal of the second signal power attenuation ratio of the second channel.

  • Patent number: 6919842
Abstract: A hybrid navigation system including a neural network is provided. The hybrid navigation system includes a global positioning system (GPS) as a main system using satellites and a radio determination system when there are difficulties in reception of signals from the satellites. The hybrid navigation system comprises a GPS signal processor, a TDOA signal processor and a neural network. The GPS signal processor receives GPS signals from the satellites to determine positions. The TDOA signal processor receives determination signals from mobile communication stations to determine positions. The neural network uses position values inputted from each of the GPS signal processor and the TDOA signal processor to learn and predict the position of the mobile terminal.
