Abstract: A keypad assembly is provided. The keypad assembly includes a case frame, unit key blocks, and a main board. The case frame defines an outer surface. The unit key blocks are inserted into the case frame, arranged to be exposed from the case frame, and disposed at positions that are freely changeable. The main board is located under the unit key blocks, performs an event corresponding to a signal generated for the respective key blocks when the unit key blocks are pressed.

Abstract: Provided are a method and an apparatus of configuring and executing a menu using graphic object recognition in a mobile communication terminal. An object setting method using a specific object of a background picture as an execution indicator for executing a specific function with a touch pad includes receiving, at a controller of the mobile communication terminal, a graphic file or photograph file selected as a background picture by a user; displaying a specific object tracing along a boundary of the specific object within the selected background picture; and selecting the specific object by detecting a clicking of a completion button on the background picture, or an end button of a keypad.

Abstract: A method for providing a progressive alarm function in a mobile terminal is provided. In an alarm setting mode, an initial alarm time input by the user is set as an alarm time of the terminal and a unit time for changing the alarm time is set. After an alarm is output at the set alarm time, it is checked to determine whether a specific key is pressed within a predetermined time. If the specific key is pressed, the alarm time is extended by the unit time. The progressive alarm function allows the user to optionally control alarm setting of the terminal to continually change the alarm time. The alarm time is not fixed but instead the user can continually extend the alarm time by pressing the specific key without the trouble of performing a number of key operations to change the alarm time in the alarm setting menu.

Abstract: A mobile communication terminal and a method for differentially implementing functions according to a class of a user. The method comprises steps of: setting conditions for selecting respective functions in order to differentially implement each function according to the class of the user; activating only menus for selecting a function or functions available to the user when the preset conditions are met; informing the user of any change in at least one function available to the user due to a change of the user's class; and applying the change in at least one function available to the user to the mobile communication terminal. Since functions included in a mobile communication terminal are implemented restrictively or supplementary according to the class of a user, the present invention facilitates the management of users of mobile communication terminals based on their classes.
