  • Publication number: 20260009858
Abstract: A battery management system, a battery pack, an electric vehicle, and a battery charging time prediction method are provided. The battery management system includes a memory for storing a first charge reference map in which a total of M×N charge rates are recorded, a sensing unit for detecting voltage, current, and temperature of a battery, and a control unit for determining a SOC estimation value of the battery. The control unit determines a mth charge rate associated with a mth SOC section to which the SOC estimation value belongs and a temperature section to which the temperature detection value belongs, from the first charge reference map. The control unit determines a predicted charging time value in the mth SOC section, based on the mth charge rate and a SOC difference between the SOC estimation value and an end point of the mth SOC section.

  • Publication number: 20250070281
Abstract: A battery management system, a battery pack, an electric vehicle and a battery charging time prediction method are provided. The battery management system includes a memory for storing a plurality of reference charging maps, a sensing unit for detecting voltage, current, and temperature of a battery, and a control unit for determining an estimated SOC value of the battery. Each reference charging map includes first to Mth reference current values and first to Mth reference power curves associated with first to Mth SOC sections. The control unit obtains a mth reference power curve and a mth reference current value associated with a mth SOC section to which the estimated SOC value belongs, from the reference charging map associated with the temperature section to which the temperature detection value of the battery belongs.

  • Patent number: 12013440
Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to providing an SOC estimating apparatus and method, which may accurately estimate OCV and SOC of a battery cell even when a voltage rough graph of the battery cell exhibits a nonlinear rough graph. According to an aspect of the present disclosure, the SOC estimating apparatus has an advantage of estimating the SOC of the battery cell more accurately and more reliably. In addition, the SOC estimating apparatus has an advantage of estimating the final SOC of the battery cell quickly even in an environment where it is difficult to secure a sufficient rest period, by estimating the second SOC based on voltage information obtained during the charging and discharging interruption time.
