  • Patent number: 9081435
Abstract: In a display apparatus, one frame includes a first sub-frame in which a previous image is held and a second sub-frame in which a present image is displayed. A plurality of sensors recognizes an object disposed on a display panel and sequentially outputs sensing signals in response to scan signals. Sensing signals are divided into a first sensing signal read out during a first sub-frame and a second sensing signal read out during a second sub-frame, and a control circuit generates a noise free signal using the first and second sensing signals. Thus, a coordinate value indicating the position of the object may be generated based on the noise free signal, thereby preventing mis-operation or malfunction caused by the noise.

  • Publication number: 20140253528
Abstract: In a driving method of a display apparatus using a driving circuit, when an image signal is a film image signal, first, second, and third original image signals are extracted based on the film image signal. Then, a first compensation image signal is generated based on first and second original image signals, and a second compensation image signal is generated based on second and third original image signals. The first original image signal, the first compensation image signal, the second original image signal, and the second compensation image signal are sequentially output to have a driving frequency higher than an input frequency. In addition, the first original image signal, the first compensation image signal, the second original image signal, and the second compensation image signal are output i, k, j, and k times, respectively. Thus, a trembling phenomenon perceived by a viewer of a film image may be prevented.

  • Patent number: 8674917
Abstract: A method and system for adjusting a gray-scale level of an LCD device. The method includes: checking a default gray-scale value A; comparing default brightness value YA with a target brightness value YX; inputting a trial gray-scale value B; and outputting a target gray-scale value X. The method employs a preselected Similarity of Triangles technique. The system employs a image-capturing unit determining screen brightness and a control unit using a preselected Similarity of Triangles technique to adjust the gray-scale level of a connected display device, reducing a single-screen-capture gray-scale level adjustment interval to about 1.8 to 2.1 seconds.

  • Patent number: 8088489
Abstract: An artificial marble using chips made of a low specific gravity material via a lamination or crunch technique to realize a natural stone-like texture, and a process for preparing the artificial marble are disclosed. In one example, a high specific gravity layer containing a high specific gravity inorganic filler is laminated on a low specific gravity layer made of a low specific gravity material to form a flat board, and then, the flat board is crushed to produce chips. In another example, low specific gravity regions made of a low specific gravity material is coated with a high specific gravity slurry containing a high specific gravity inorganic filler, to produce crunch chips. Thereby, a low specific gravity material, which could not be used conventionally, is applicable to the artificial marble, so as to achieve an outer appearance remarkably similar to a texture of natural marbles.

  • Patent number: 7961169
Abstract: A timing controller includes an interface controller that reads out a current identification code and current address information of the current identification code. A data comparator compares a previous identification code stored in a memory provided in the timing controller with the current identification code. If the current identification code is different from the previous identification code, the interface controller reads out current parameter data corresponding to the current identification code from the memory and a data processor processes image data by using the current parameter data. The timing controller recognizes the update state of the parameter data stored in the memory and processes the image data by using the updated parameter data.

  • Publication number: 20110058024
Abstract: In a display apparatus, a display panel displays an image, and a frame rate converter separates an image signal to a first image frame for a left-eye and a second image frame for a right-eye and generates first and second intermediate image frames respectively following the first and second image frames. A timing controller converts the first and second image frames to first and second compensation frames, respectively, and sequentially provides the first compensation frame, the first intermediate image frame, the second compensation frame, and the second intermediate image frame to a data driver. The data driver converts the first and second compensation frames to a left-eye data voltage and a right-eye data voltage, respectively, and converts the first and second intermediate image frames to a predetermined black data voltage.

  • Publication number: 20100007648
Abstract: The present invention relates to a driving device for a liquid crystal display and a driving method thereof. A signal controller of the driving device generates a data signal according to an input image signal input to the display device, generates a clock signal according to the input control signal, and generates a differential pair image signal by modulating the clock signal to the data signal. Here, a data signal period of the differential pair image signal and a clock signal period are converted with a different level and are output. A data driver of the driving device receives the differential pair image signal, divides the data signal and the clock signal from the differential pair image signal, and generates a data voltage by sampling a data signal by using the clock signal.
