Publication number: 20260190782Abstract: A display device includes a substrate having a display area and a non-display area outside the display area. A trimming portion is formed at an edge of the non-display area, and the trimming portion is configured as a recessed region produced by removing one or more insulating layers. A cover layer is positioned over the entire trimming portion and extends to an outmost side surface of the substrate. The cover layer extends into the recessed trimming portion to stabilize the trimmed edge and to suppress separation or lifting of films at the substrate perimeter. The display device may further include a thin film transistor, a light emitting element, or additional layers formed in the display area. The structure enhances edge reliability while supporting conventional manufacturing and various substrate materials.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 20, 2025Publication date: July 2, 2026Applicant: LG Display Co., Ltd.Inventors: Jae-Ho SIM, Je-Hyung PARK

Patent number: 9318054Abstract: An organic light emitting diode (OLED) display device and a method of driving the same are provided. A time point at which each of transistors is turned on is controlled without using an additional transistor so that a node connected to a source electrode of a driver transistor can be floated, and a node connected to a gate electrode of the driver transistor can be initialized to an initialization voltage level. Thus, initialization characteristics can be improved to enhance degradation of response characteristics and luminance, and a threshold voltage of the driver transistor and occurrence of a ripple at a high-potential voltage terminal can be compensated.Type: GrantFiled: December 3, 2012Date of Patent: April 19, 2016Assignee: LG Display Co., Ltd.Inventors: Jung-Min Lee, Jae-Ho Sim
