The image forming apparatus includes: a photoconductor unit on which an electrostatic latent image is formed; and a conveying unit configured to convey printing medium at a first conveying velocity toward the photoconductor unit, and configured to convey the printing medium at a second conveying velocity that is lower than the first conveying velocity when the printing medium approaches the photoconductor unit.

Abstract: A power transmitting device having a structure to allow a photoconductor to stably form a visible image on a printing medium. The power transmitting device interconnects a rotator and a drive motor, the drive motor generating drive power to drive the rotator. The power transmitting device includes at least one gear to be rotated upon receiving power from the drive motor, a rotating shaft having one end penetrating the gear and a coupler to interconnect the other end of the rotating shaft and the rotator. An outer diameter of the coupler, an outer diameter of the rotator and an outer diameter of the gear satisfy the following relation: 0.7D1<Dc<D2, where, D1: outer diameter of the rotator, D2: outer diameter of the gear and Dc: outer diameter of the coupler.

Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes a registration unit which performs color registration correction by using a registration sensor, an image forming unit which forms a preset first mark whose range is greater than a range recognizable by the registration sensor on an image forming medium, and a storage which stores a specific area of an image forming medium recognizable by the registration sensor by using the formed preset first mark. The image forming apparatus further includes a controller which controls the image forming apparatus to form a preset second mark to perform color registration correction within a range recognizable by the registration sensor by using information regarding the specific area which was previously stored in the storage, and the controller controls the registration unit to perform color registration correction by using the formed preset second mark.
