    Abstract: A secondary battery includes: an electrode assembly; and wings configured to press one of upper and lower ends of the electrode assembly in compressing directions. Thermal shrinkage of the electrode assembly may be prevented when the electrode assembly is repeatedly charged and discharged, and thus an internal short circuit caused by shrinkage of the electrode assembly may be prevented. The shape of the electrode assembly may be maintained by suppressing thermal shrinkage or expansion of the electrode assembly.
