  • Publication number: 20160129252
Abstract: A method for providing noninvasive electrical brain stimulation “NIEBS” is provided, the method comprising: receiving a signal at a power converter wherein the signal is an audio signal; converting power from said audio signal to a form suitable for NIEBS; generating a NIEBS signal using said power converted from said audio signal; and applying NIEBS based on said able NIEBS signal to a user via electrodes.

  • Publication number: 20160129253
Abstract: A computer-implemented method is proposed for providing noninvasive electrical stimulation to stimulate the brain, the method comprising receiving a two channel audio output at a splitter, splitting each of the two signals into a first portion and a second portion, passing said first portion to at least two speakers for playing audio, converting said second portion at a power converter (101) to a form suitable for noninvasive electrical stimulation, generating a signal for noninvasive electrical stimulation based on said second portion and applying noninvasive electrical stimulation to a user based on said signal for noninvasive electrical stimulation via electrodes (103) associated with said two speakers.

  • Publication number: 20160117452
Abstract: A computer-implemented method for managing a noninvasive electrical brain stimulation “NIEBS” prescription is provided, the method comprising: receiving data for a prescription for a patient associated with a patient ID at a computer system, wherein said prescription is created by a healthcare professional after examining said patient; validating said healthcare professional and said data for said prescription at said computer system; maintaining a database or library of NIEBS data programs for NIEBS treatments at said computer system; and authorizing a specific NIEBS data program for said patient at said computer system based on said prescription.

  • Publication number: 20110172726
Abstract: A method and equipment for conducting cranial electrostimulation on a patient are provided. Suitable electrodes are attached to the head of the patient cause electrostimulation currents to be created in response to pulses applied to the electrodes. Music is simultaneously audible to the patient. The pulses, or sequences of pulses, are generated at a frequency that is varied according to the rhythm, beat of music that is audible to the patient. The equipment comprises a cranial electrostimulation pulse generator and associated electrodes for applying pulses to the head of a patient, and a sound signal generator with at least one associated loudspeaker that is typically a pair of earphones, for generating audible sound. A controller controls the frequency at which pulses or sequences of pulses are generated by the cranial electrostimulation pulse generator such that the frequency is varied according to the rhythm, beat or tempo of the music.
