Abstract: A water delivery tube assembly for use in an internal combustion engine of a locomotive provides water between an inlet aperture of a power pack and an outlet aperture of a manifold where the inlet aperture and outlet apertures are longitudinally offset from each other and are disposed in misaligned planes. The assembly includes a flexible metal pipe having inlet and outlet ends and a metal braid surrounding the pipe. The inlet and outlet housings are operatively coupled to the inlet and outlet ends of the pipe, respectively and defme an internal fluid flow path in fluid communication with the pipe. The inlet and outlet housings have compound angles defining the fluid flow path such that when the inlet housing is secured to the power pack and the outlet housing is secured to the manifold, the flexible metal pipe is maintained in a substantially linear configuration between the housings.

Abstract: A connector member, connectable with a like member to form an electrical clasp connector for locomotive traction motor cables and the like, has a soft socket and for crimping on a cable and a harder connecting blade end for wear resistance preferably extruded from a slug of copper in separate steps respectively before and after annealing. Alternative lock means and methods of forming are also disclosed.

Abstract: A piston cooling oil delivery tube assembly for an internal combustion engine for use in directing cooling oil from a manifold into the coolant opening of an associated piston is formed with a rigid bracket and nozzle assembly attachable to a cylinder liner and forming a nonflexible prealigned portion of the coolant delivery tube passage and a connecting tube member forming a connector portion of limited flexibility between the cylinder liner and the crankcase mounted manifold. Various other features are also disclosed.
