Abstract: Disclosed are systems and techniques for wireless communications. For example, an audio device can receive, from an onboarding device associated with a broadcast device, one or more connection request signals requesting a connection with the audio device and comprising an address of the onboarding device. The audio device can output, for transmission to the onboarding device based on the address of the onboarding device, one or more first connection signals to establish a first connection with the onboarding device. The audio device can receive, from the onboarding device via the first connection with the onboarding device, one or more information signals comprising synchronization information associated with the broadcast device. The audio device can synchronize with the broadcast device using the synchronization information to receive one or more broadcast signals comprising broadcast information.

Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for wireless communication. In an aspect, a wireless earbud charging case receives authentication data for authenticating a pair of wireless earbuds to be connected to the wireless earbud charging case, stored in the wireless earbud charging case, or both, authenticates the pair of wireless earbuds based at least in part on the authentication data, and provides one or more services of the wireless earbud charging case to the pair of wireless earbuds based on authenticating the pair of wireless earbuds.

Abstract: A method for wireless communications in a mesh network at a first device is disclosed. The method includes receiving, during a friendship termination procedure, direct forwarding information from a second device and storing the directed forwarding information from the second device. The method also includes terminating the friendship with the second device and establishing a friendship with a third device. The method also includes transmitting the directed forwarding information to the third device.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus for smart sockets in a communication network. A smart socket can be implemented to monitor one or more power quality characteristics of a power supply providing energy to the smart home environment. Smart sockets implemented to monitor power quality characteristics can sense when power fluctuations are present in the power supply, and shut down connected devices to prevent damage. A plurality of coordinating smart sockets can be implemented to optimize power utilization when the smart home environment is operating on backup power, during low electricity tariff periods, or when operating on a renewable energy source. The plurality of coordinating smart sockets can be implemented to autonomously schedule tasks based on a context of operation of other devices in the smart home environment. The plurality of coordinating smart sockets can be implemented to achieve configurable energy targets for the smart home environment.

Abstract: In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus may transmit a smart friend request message to a set of nodes in the wireless mesh network. The set of nodes may be associated with a friend feature that may include maintaining one or more element messages intended for the first node when the first node is in a low power state. Each of the one or more element messages intended for the first node may include an element address corresponding to an element at the first node. The smart friend request message may indicate a hierarchy of element addresses to maintain at the second node. The apparatus may operate in the low power state during which the second node maintains the one or more element messages for the first node based at least in part on the hierarchy of element addresses.
