    Abstract: A computer-implemented method for identifying motion-based inputs to an electronic device involves determining that the electronic device has been rotated in a first direction of rotation past a first threshold orientation; determining that the electronic device has been rotated in a second direction of rotation that is substantially the opposite of the first direction of rotation, past a second threshold; and analyzing motion of the device to identify motion-based inputs to the device other than the rotation of the device in the first and second directions, based on the two determinations.
