  • Publication number: 20210170107
Abstract: Pre-filled syringes include an elastic and sliding valvular joint acting as a temporary closure to prevent internal chamber(s) from communicating with the outside (or between chambers). The joint includes two discoid cooperative elements: an elastic discoid cap and a sliding receiving discoid seat that has a central passage tube. The cap includes an elastic base from which a compact closing cylinder protrudes. The closing cylinder has a distal area with a plurality of longitudinal grooves. The cap can: (a) half-fit the central tube of the receiving discoid seat, which will allow the communication of fluid through the plurality of grooves, and (b) seal the chamber by completely fitting the central tube of the receiving discoid seat. Accordingly, the half-fit position allows the lyophilization of contents of the syringe.

  • Patent number: 11027074
Abstract: An elastic and sliding valvular joint for pre-filled syringes, which comprises a single chamber with an injectable product or two chambers that contain isolated products to be mixed before the injection is described. The valvular joint acts as a temporary closure, which prevents the internal chamber from communicating with the outside, or between both internal chambers. The joint comprises two discoid cooperative elements arranged on the syringe and with its edge against the internal surface: an elastic discoid plug and a sliding receiving discoid seat. The receiving discoid seat includes a central passage tube facing the hollow cylinder, and the elastic base of the plug fits in a removable manner inside a cylindrical cavity of the opening of the central passage tube of the seat.

  • Patent number: 6602223
Abstract: A pre-filled syringe having an elastic-sliding valve to produce a hermetic closure inside a pre-filled syringe which keeps the liquid content to be injected totally isolated, in order to prohibit the liquid from coming in contact with the needle or the external air.

  • Patent number: 6508792
Abstract: A discoid and elastic valve is designed to block up the neck of the syringe from inside, in order to close the communication between the syringe's internal main body, where the liquid is, and the needle which is connected in the syringe neck through its plugging cone.

  • Patent number: 6149628
Abstract: A syringe, of the type having two variable volume chambers inside the main cylindrical body, said chambers being separated by a displacing valve assembly, and being capable of housing components which should be mixed prior to injection. The novelty resides in the special conformation of parts and elements constituting said valve assembly, which comprises two cooperating, displacing elastomer portions; one of said portions being comprised by a peripheral, hollow cylindrical body bearing on the cylindrical wall of the main body, the other portion being an inner, solid cylindrical body slidingly bearing on the inner face of the front portion.

  • Patent number: 5785683
Abstract: The invention relates to a pre-filled disposable syringe to be used in the administration of powdered drug diluted at the time of injection. The novelty resides in that the plunger head, along with an elastomer head, constitute a particular valve acting as a function of plunger displacements.

  • Patent number: 5643224
Abstract: The invention relates to a safety valve plug to be used in pre-filled syringes, of the kind comprising a cylindrical hollow body into which a coaxial plunger is displaced, projecting outwardly from one of the bases; while a conical portion is defined at the opposite base, the conical portion receiving the injection needle and being called "plugging cone", the valve plug being snug fit inside said "plugging cone" with its end head bearing on the mouth thereof, said valve plug comprising a substantially cylindrical solid body having a conical end portion and the other portion, defining its head, being cylindrical and of a cross section larger than the rest of the body; the cylindrical body having, following said conical end, two faceted faces extending adjacent the head.
