  • Patent number: 12044217
Abstract: A wind turbine is provided including a nacelle and a plurality of electrical and/or mechanical components for the generation and/or the conversion of energy, wherein the nacelle includes a housing structure enclosing an inner volume, in which the components are arranged, wherein the nacelle includes at least one movable extension structure, which may be moved between a retracted position and an extended position, wherein the inner volume enclosed by the housing structure is increased in the extended position.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 4, 2022
Date of Patent: July 23, 2024
Assignee: SIEMENS GAMESA RENEWABLE ENERGY INNOVATION & TECHNOLOGY S.L.

  • Patent number: 8183724
Abstract: A cooling electric generator with pipes embedded in its housing which includes mechanisms for generating electrical power from the motor torque provided by a wind turbine rotor, and with an external housing comprised of a cylindrical casing (23) and side shields (25) made of cast iron and have embedded conduits configured to form a refrigeration circuit (31, 41) for the generator with routes for entry and exit (33, 35, 43, 45) of the refrigeration liquid to and from the generator exterior. Preferably, the circuit (31) embedded in the cylindrical casing (23) has a helicoidal form and the circuits (41) embedded in the shields (25) have a spiral form.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 16, 2007
Date of Patent: May 22, 2012
Assignee: Gamesa Innovation & Technology, S.L.
Inventors: Rafael Rodriguez Rodriguez, Juan Manuel Sacristan San Martin, Jaime Peredo Argos, Jesús Macarro Ruano
  • Patent number: 8159103
Abstract: A rotor (11) for an electric machine with low-inertia permanent magnets (13) located between the poles (15) of the electric machine and a rotor hub, where the rotor hub is comprised of an internal ferrule (21) and an intermediate ring (23) between it and said magnets (13), with said intermediate ring (23) being made of an amagnetic material (such as aluminum, a composite material or a plastic material) of minimum thickness which prevents flux losses, and with the internal ferrule (21) being made of a metal material (such as cast iron or steel) with sufficient thickness to resist, together with the intermediate ring (23), the mechanical stresses caused by rotor (11) operation.
