    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method and apparatus to control a web loading time in a network. A method of a network controller to control a web loading time of a terminal includes acquiring information regarding at least one terminal currently accessing a base station. The method also includes detecting a transmission control protocol (TCP) session to download a web content of the terminal. The method further includes among a main object and at least one embedded object included in the web content, adjusting a priority for a transmission of the main object. Accordingly, a loading time of a web content is decreased by increasing a transmission priority of a main object constituting the web content in a network congestion situation.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus, such as a pico service gateway, for reducing backhaul traffic in a broadband wireless access system are provided. The pico service gateway operatively receives an uplink packet including a contents request from a Mobile Station (MS). Upon receipt of the contents request, the pico service gateway determines whether the requested contents have been cached. If the pico service gateway determines that the contents have not been cached therein, the pico service gateway communicates with a corresponding server to receive the requested contents. Thereafter, the pico service gateway transmits the contents to the MS. Further, if the pico service gateway determines that the contents have not been cached, the pico service gateway caches the contents. In contrast, if the pico service gateway determines that the contents are cached therein, the pico service gateway transmits the contents corresponding to the requested contents.

    Abstract: A tobacco pipe (10) having a hollow stem (12) threaded to a manifold (20) on top of which a turret (30) is rotatably mounted. Turret (30) is of greater weight than that of manifold (20), so that any one of a plurality of turret magazines (33) remains stationary over a chamber (24) in the manifold (20) in their relative rotation, so that smoking tobacco in the aligned magazine (33) with such chamber (24) takes place through the hollow stem (12). A screen (28) seats in a recess 27 of a port (25) of manifold (20) at a sufficient distance from the turret's chamber (24), preventing scorching of screen (28) by a source of flame at/in chamber (24) in the aligned magazine (33).
