Publication number: 20260233903Abstract: A container lid includes a base portion including a threaded central shaft which includes a threaded central shaft axis. A cap portion is rotatably engaged with the base portion. The cap portion includes a spout pivotably coupled to the cap portion between a closed position and an open position about a spout pivot axis. A drive fin is disposed adjacent the threaded central shaft. A nut is engaged with both the threaded central shaft and the drive fin. A linkage couples the nut to the spout, wherein a rotational movement of the cap portion relative to the base portion slides the nut along the drive fin, thereby moving the spout from the closed position to the open position.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 12, 2024Publication date: August 13, 2026Applicant: Pacific Market International, LLCInventors: Katie Mann, Jake McLean, Sean Cummins

Patent number: 12697234Abstract: A device configured to be positioned within a prosthetic socket includes a tether, a spool, a motor, a coupling mechanism, a release actuator, and a tightening actuator. A first end of the tether is configured to be coupled to a prosthetic liner, and a second end of the tether is coupled to the spool. The spool is fixed with respect to the prosthetic socket. The coupling mechanism transitions from a first position in which the spool is restricted to rotate in a first direction to a second position in which the spool is not restricted. The release actuator and tightening actuator are positioned on an exterior of the prosthetic socket. Actuating the release actuator causes the coupling mechanism to transition from the first position to the second position. Actuating the tightening actuator causes the motor to rotate the spool in the first direction to wind the tether around the spool.Type: GrantFiled: March 3, 2023Date of Patent: August 4, 2026Assignee: University of WashingtonInventors: Joan E. Publication number: 20260145853Abstract: A lid attachment for a beverage container lid that includes a main body, a plurality of attachment features, and an ornamental feature connected to the main body. The main body includes a central cavity that extends through the main body about a cavity axis. The central cavity provides access between a top side and a bottom side of the main body. The central cavity is sized to accommodate entry of a straw. The plurality of attachment features extend outward from the bottom side of the main body. The plurality of attachment features each include a distal free end. The distal free end includes a retainment feature. The lid attachment is rotatable about the cavity axis when mounted to a beverage container lid, independent of the lid.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 26, 2025Publication date: May 28, 2026Applicant: Pacific Market International, LLCInventors: Lovina HUA, Jaime Arroyo, Jake MCLEAN

Publication number: 20250382101Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a handle system, as described herein, that is movable between an outer or extended position and an inner or retracted position. In examples, the movable handle may be a component of a container system such as a beverage container. In examples, the system includes an actuator such as a button that, when interacted with, facilitates movement of the handle from a first position to a second position.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 12, 2025Publication date: December 18, 2025Inventors: Jake MCLEAN, Charles SINCLAIR, Sean CUMMINS, Graham JOHNSON

Publication number: 20250268404Abstract: A container system and a method of forming such a container system includes one or more lenticular lenses on an exterior surface of the container system. The disclosed container systems provide a visual characteristic that may appear different to the viewer/user when the container system is moved or viewed from a different angle. For example, when rotated or tilted with respect to the viewer, a container system that appears to be a first color originally may then appear to be a second color. In another example, when rotated or tilted with respect to the viewer, a container system that appears to have a first design. The color(s) and/or design(s) may be provided via an insert that fits between the exterior layer of the container system and an interior layer of the container system.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 21, 2025Publication date: August 28, 2025Inventors: Jake McLean, Sean Cummins, Kramer Cross, Jacob D. Patent number: 12109131Abstract: The disclosure provides example apparatus and methods for automatically adjusting a socket size of a prosthesis. The apparatus includes (a) the prosthesis having a socket configured to receive a limb, (b) a first opening in a socket wall, (c) a first panel aligned with the first opening, (d) a first actuator coupled to the first panel and to the prosthesis, the first actuator is configured to advance and retract the first panel, (e) a first sensor coupled to the socket wall and configured to obtain limb-to-socket gap data, and (f) a processor coupled to the first actuator and the first sensor, wherein the processor is configured (i) to receive the limb-to-socket gap data, (ii) to determine a socket-size adjustment based on the limb-to-socket gap data and a predetermined socket-fit value, (iii) to generate and (iv) to send a command with the socket-size adjustment to the first actuator.Type: GrantFiled: May 1, 2020Date of Patent: October 8, 2024Assignee: University of WashingtonInventors: Joan E. Publication number: 20230277341Abstract: The present disclosure provides a device configured to be positioned within a prosthetic socket. The device includes a tether having a first end and a second end opposite the first end. The first end of the tether is configured to be coupled to a prosthetic liner. The device also includes a spool fixed with respect to the prosthetic socket. The second end of the tether is coupled to the spool. The device also includes a motor and a battery configured to provide power to the motor. The device also includes a coupling mechanism configured to transition from a first position in which the spool is only able to rotate in a first direction to a second position in which the spool is able to rotate in the first direction and a second direction. The device also includes a release actuator positioned on an exterior of the prosthetic socket. Actuation of the release actuator causes the coupling mechanism to transition from the first position to the second position.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 3, 2023Publication date: September 7, 2023Inventors: Joan E.
