  • Publication number: 20250092082
Abstract: Photon generating substrates for light-directed oligonucleotide synthesis are disclosed. Light is generated within a solid-state stack that supports growing oligonucleotides. The light may be generated by microLEDs, a pass-through liquid crystal panel, or an LCoS system. Light passes through a transmissive layer on which growing oligonucleotides are attached. Patterning of the light is controlled by selective activation of the microLEDs or by selective control of the transparency of a liquid crystal layer. Photolabile blocking groups are selectively removed by exposure to patterned light emitted from the photon generating substrate.

  • Patent number: 12223474
Abstract: A group payment vehicle and process for establishing and utilizing the group payment vehicle may be utilized to make proxy payments for group members and associate payment mechanisms with the group payment vehicle. The group payment vehicle may be virtual or physical and may be time limited (or have another payment limitation). The group payment vehicle may be a debit-type or credit-type as established by a creator of the group payment vehicle. A system may be configured to enable the creator to invite potential group participants to participate with the group payment vehicle that functions as a single payment mechanism to vendors for an event. The system may limit the group payment vehicle to be time limited, geolocation limited, and/or merchant limited to limit potential financial exposure and fraud.

  • Publication number: 20250042313
Abstract: A child restraint system is provided. The child restraint system includes a seat, a headrest, a first sidewall, a second sidewall, and a plurality of internal side impact surfaces including at least a first internal side impact surface that is provide at the first sidewall and a second internal side impact surface that is provided at the second sidewall. In embodiments, four internal side impact surfaces may be provided as well. A pocket is formed in the area between the internal side impact surfaces and respective sidewalls. In this manner, as a child moved towards a sidewall during a crash event, the elbow or entire arm of the child falls into the pocket and the internal side impact surfaces mitigate the movement of the hips and/or shoulders of the child. This reduces the compression of the child's arm against the sidewall, consequentially reducing the compression on the child's chest.

  • Publication number: 20250001916
Abstract: A child restraint system is provided. The child restraint system may be used to secure a child within a vehicle. The child restraint system includes a headrest including a rear portion and one or more sidewalls. Each of the one or more sidewalls includes a first region and a second region. The first region is provided between the second region and the rear portion of the headrest. The first region includes material that protrudes from the sidewall at a greater distance than the material that is included in the second region. Additionally, a slope in the material is provided downwards from the first region into the second region. In this manner, the head of the child travels across the first region and downwards into the second region during a side crash event, which results in energy dissipation occurring over a greater distance.

  • Publication number: 20240189714
Abstract: Systems and methods described herein may detect user interface (UI) elements of a gaming application UI and rearrange and/or modify the UI elements in response to a change in aspect ratio of the gaming application. An anchor may be determined for each UI element as the aspect ratio of the gaming application changes such that the gaming application's aspect ratio may be changed without eliminating important UI elements. In cases where a UI element is modified, the UI element may be made collapsible, may be split into sub-elements, or may be separated from the rest of the UI elements and displayed on a separate device.

  • Publication number: 20240189715
Abstract: Systems and methods described herein may provide a system that adjusts a user interface (UI) of a game in a non-obtrusive way to a user. The system may determine the least obtrusive area(s) on the screen for a UI element game overlay to be presented, at least in part by determining an importance level for area on the screen containing a UI element. The importance level for an area on the screen may be determined using a generated heat map that indicates the importance values of various areas of the screen. The heat map may be generated with inputs including one or more of user interactions with UI elements, game context, UI element rate of change, user matching, and user preferences. The system may temporarily hide UI elements from display that are determined to be below a threshold importance level.

  • Patent number: 11991242
Abstract: Systems and methods described herein may provide a system that enables execution of workloads within a distributed computing environment that includes one or more edge computing devices and/or one or more user computing devices. A computing device may determine a workload for execution within a distributed computing environment that includes a plurality of computing devices. The computing device may determine valid execution slots within the distributed computing environment and may select a first execution slot of the valid execution slots. A first edge computing device may be assigned to execute the workload during the first execution slot. The first execution slot may be selected based on scores computed for the valid execution slots. The scores may be determined based on at least one criteria selected from the group consisting of (i) workload durations, (ii) carbon emissions, (iii) utility costs, and (iv) a disruption penalty.

  • Publication number: 20240021316
Abstract: A data-driven, intelligent ergonomic behavioral aid based on uniquely captured telemetry and user behavior data is provided. The aggregation of the telemetry data and user presence events over time can provide sufficient context to understand user patterns and behavior as well as the user's environment. The provided system may learn from this data and recommend to the user best practices and actions to take to minimize the health risk specific to their behavior with respect to the computing ecosystem. In some instances, the provided system may initiate one or more actions, rather than a recommendation, that force the user to change their behavior if the user desires to continue interacting with the computing ecosystem.

  • Patent number: 11489892
Abstract: As part of virtual meetings, information that has been visually presented to the participants may be distributed to all or some of the participants. Embodiments provide capabilities for identifying such shared information to be distributed to virtual meeting participants based on the context in which the information was shared. A user joining a collaborative session via a first IHS (Information Handling System) is detected and affiliations of the user are determined. The display of information to the user via a collaboration tool is detected. Activity by the user is monitored while the shared information is displayed to the user via the collaboration tool. An event is detected that triggers distribution of the displayed information. Whether to distribute the displayed information to the user's IHS is determined based on the user's affiliations, attributes of the information and the monitored activity of the user during the display of the information.
