  • Patent number: 9672480
Abstract: A system and method for adaptive and dynamic synchronization includes a data synchronization controller which enables synchronization of a plurality of different data types between a main computer and one or more remotely disposed computer elements. The controller includes an orchestrator which responds to requests for data synchronization for components in accordance with predetermined policies maintained by a policy management system. A synchronization interface is controlled by the orchestrator in accordance with the policies to select a synchronization engine to service requests for synchronization of different data types from the orchestrator. Synchronization may be handled for on demand and/or for on schedule requests for synchronization in the policy-based system and method.

  • Publication number: 20100299165
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention address deficiencies of the art in respect to modeling value networks and provide a method, system and computer program product for a comparative analysis different value nets. In an embodiment of the invention, a value net analysis method can include loading data for CBM components of a first value net for a first collection of business enterprises, and loading data for CBM components of a second value net for a second collection of business enterprises. The method also can include mapping relationships between different business enterprises in the first value net to relationships between different business enterprises in the second value net. Relative underperformance can be identified in a mapped relationship in one of the value nets based upon a comparison of the loaded data for the CBM components of the value nets. Consequently, the under-performing mapped relationship can be visually distinguished in an enterprise view to a corresponding one of the value nets.

  • Publication number: 20100268037
Abstract: In general, the invention provides a design and apparatus (patient scorecard system-PSS) for dynamic scoring of Patient clinical condition based on patient-attributes, medical rules, patient-information events and medical criteria. One aspect of the invention is to offer better tracking of Patient-care and improving the quality of care to patients. The scorecard model is based on a multi-attribute data structure that captures Patient risk based on attributes such as symptoms, causes, past history, errors in medication, bad quality of care, medication history, current costs, MRI, current state of the disease and family history. The scorecard keeps a time-stamped record of the attributes of the patients, and updates them dynamically as new information is available from multiple sources such as medical records, MRIs, Lab-tests, personal patient monitors and others.

  • Patent number: 7689435
Abstract: A method and apparatus are disclosed for managing composite business processes that include multiple trading mechanisms, such as requests for quotes (RFQs), auctions and contracts, or repeat passes through a single trading mechanism. The independence of the individual business processes that manage each trading mechanism is maintained, while each individual business process can be connected to other business processes to form a composite business process. Each individual business process that may be followed by another business process to form a composite process must have at least one state labeled as a conversion state with a conversion transition to another business process. A conversion transition spans the gap between an end state of one business process and the start state of another subsequent business process. When a conversion state is entered by an object, a determination is made as to whether the object is being managed by a composite flow, and if so, what business process to use next.
