  • Patent number: 11221064
Abstract: A transmission system for a vehicle having a belt drive transmission. The belt drive has an adjustable input and output ratio, where the output of the belt drive is provided as a first input to a differential coupling. A further rotating connection is provided as a second input to the differential coupling, so that the output of the differential coupling is arranged as the output of the transmission system. Accordingly, the transmission output is based on the aggregate sum of the rotation of the first and second inputs to the differential coupling, wherein adjustment of the input and output ratio of the belt drive allows for a continuously variable transmission system.

  • Patent number: 10159183
Abstract: A header drivetrain coupling system including a harvester driveline mounted to a harvesting vehicle and a header driveshaft mounted to a detachable header. The harvester driveline is supported for rotation at an inboard end on a feederhouse and at an outboard end on a header tilt frame even when the header is detached therefrom. The harvester driveline comprises a telescopic portion which permits a coupling member on the outboard end to be moved into and out of engagement with a coupling member on the header driveshaft. A sliding support assembly is provided to support a bearing housing which holds the outboard end of the harvester driveline on the tilt frame. An actuator is configured to move the bearing housing with respect to the tilt frame to selectively engage and disengage the coupling members.

  • Patent number: 9907229
Abstract: Granule conveying apparatus (12) comprising two screw conveyors (21,22) are provided. Each screw conveyor comprises flighting (26,36) mounted to a shaft (27,37) and a cylindrical volume (61,62) associated therewith. Each cylindrical volume (61,62) has a length defined by the associated shaft (27,37) and a diameter defined by the associated flighting (26,36). One end of each of said two screw conveyors meet at an elbow or junction (52) where the direction of material conveyance is changed. The conveyor shafts (27,37) are supported independently from one another. The shaft of one of said two screw conveyors intersects the cylindrical volume associated with the other one of said two screw conveyors at the elbow. The close proximity of the two screw conveyors at the elbow region reduces power consumption.

  • Patent number: 6530468
Abstract: A conveyor is disclosed having a mechanism for driving an endless chain, which is used for driving and optionally also for supporting the article-supporting parts of the conveyor. The mechanism comprises a drive belt that engages and drives on a number of wheels on the chain. By driving on the periphery of the rotating wheels instead of directly on the chain itself, the force between the drive belt and the point of engagement with the chain is halved whereby the construction may be made substantially lighter.
