Image data produced by the browser at the phone server is converted into a bitmapped image that is sent to the handset for display. The browser at the phone server (1) can also be accessed through a personal computer (PC 1). The browser settings remain synchronized irrespective of whether the handset (MS 1) or (PC 1) is utilized. The phone server can also run other applications such as calendars, address books and computer games.
