The motor vehicle has an assistance system for a drive operation which is automated under certain conditions. The motor vehicle is designed to transmit a specified control signal to the mobile device in response to detection of a drive situation to be managed in a non-autonomous manner. The mobile device is configured to receive and process control signals so as to be adapted to the motor vehicle and to output a transfer request, by means of which the vehicle occupant is requested to assume the guidance of the vehicle, in an assured manner by means of the display device in response to receiving the control signal regardless of the user configuration of the device.
