Abstract: A method and a system for generating a fragrance (also referred to herein as perfume) are disclosed. A method may comprise providing a perfume blender machine (100) and cartridges (102) for storing liquid olfactory ingredients (112), the machine comprising dispensing means to dispense olfactory ingredients (112) from the cartridges (102) for generating a fragrance (114); controlling the dispensing means to generate a fragrance (114) based on instructions given by a user on the liquid olfactory ingredients (112) to be blended and the quantity of each; and generating a recipe with the information of the ingredients (112) and their respective quantities which have been used to generate the fragrance.

Abstract: A method for providing blended consumer goods to a user by using a blending device (BD) that is adapted to store at least two starting goods blendable into a blended consumer good comprises: recording (REC) selection data concerning selections of the blended consumer goods by the user; recording response data provided by the user concerning responses to the selected blended consumer goods; and processing (COD1-COD5, PP, DA) the data to prioritize presentation (SP, AUI) of blended consumer goods on a user interface (BD, UCD) for selection by the user. A data processing device (DPD, BD, UCD) comprises a data processing unit and a data storage (DB) for storing the recorded data and/or the processed data, wherein the data processing device is adapted to perform the method. A system comprises the data processing device and at least one blending device. The invention is particularly useful for blending fragrances, food, or beverages.

A method of providing a fragrance blend (FB) blended from multiple different essences comprises loading a digital formula (DF) of the fragrance blend (FB) to a fragrance dispenser (FD; FD2) wherein the containers (C) hold essences; and by the fragrance dispenser (FD; FD2), dispensing the essences according to the loaded digital formula (DF).

Abstract: A method according to the invention for providing a user-selected fragrance blend (FB) by a fragrance dispensing apparatus (1) comprises querying to select, via a user interface (14), a fragrance reservoir (CS1-CS3) containing several aroma-compounds (F1-F5) belonging to a common scent family, and querying to select, via the user interface (14), at least one other fragrance reservoir (CS1-CS3) containing at least one aroma-compound (F1-F5) belonging to another scent family, until aroma-compounds (F1-F5) belonging to all levels of a scent pyramid have been selected, extracting the aroma-compounds (F1-F5) from the selected fragrance reservoirs (CS1-CS3), and dispensing the extracted aroma-compounds (F1-F5) as a fragrance blend (FB). A fragrance dispensing apparatus (1) according to the invention is adapted to perform the method according to the invention. The invention is particularly advantageous for operation by an end user of the fragrance blend.

Abstract: A multi-chamber capsule system for producing a beverage has a multi-chamber capsule with an outer shell, which has an outer bottom, an outer sidewall and an outer lid, forming an overall cavity. The capsule also includes at least one inner shell, inside the overall cavity and forming a second chamber to receive a second volume of a second contained substance. A remaining cavity of the multi-chamber capsule is formed by the overall cavity minus the at least one inner shell, as a first chamber to receive a first volume of a first contained substance. The multi-chamber capsule system also includes a device to open the inner shell of the multi-chamber capsule and in order to convey the second contained substance out of the second chamber into the first chamber, to produce a mixture in the multi-chamber capsule which completely contains the first contained substance and the second contained substance.
