Abstract: Methods for flexible system information delivery and interpretation include an example method performed by a wireless device, where the example method comprises receiving system information broadcasted by one or more network nodes in a wireless network and interpreting a first portion of the system information using a network-reconfigurable software function in the wireless device. The method further comprises performing one or more communication-related actions, based on this interpreting. This first portion of system information may comprise one or more information elements in a system information block, SIB, and the method may further comprise interpreting one or more other portions of the received system information using non-network-reconfigurable functionality in the wireless device.

Abstract: A method performed by a first network node operating in a communications network comprising the set of nodes providing a segmented front-haul. The first network node determines, out of a respective first subset of nodes to serve a respective device of one or more devices, a respective second subset of nodes to serve each respective device. The determining is based on information obtained from a second network node. The information comprises respective routing information between a respective source node of respective one or more packets, and the respective device, so that a respective delivery of the respective packets to the respective device is based on an improvement of one or more metrics. The first network node also initiates sending of the respective one or more packets to the respective device via the determined respective second subset of nodes.

Abstract: A method of estimating a duration that a User Equipment, UE, is unreachable caused by a coverage hole in a coverage area of at least one access node in a telecommunication network, said method comprises the steps of determining that a connection between said UE and said telecommunication network is lost, determining that said loss of connection is due to said UE entering said coverage hole, estimating said duration of said UE in said coverage hole based on a coverage map comprising said coverage area as well as said coverage hole, and a location and/or time information of said UE in said coverage area.
