Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for locating an on-call doctor, specific to a patient's needs, who is readily available for a live confidential patient consultation using a network enabled communication device with a digital camera and microphone. The system facilitates customized matching of patients with doctors to provide higher quality and faster delivery of medical evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment. The systems and methods transmit results through a secure connection and manage a referral process whereby a referring doctor refers a patient to another provider, laboratory, facility, or store for a particular procedure, order, analysis, or care. The referrals may be based on specialties and availability. The system relates particularly to the fields of medicine, where doctors can perform online consultations and provide a diagnosis, treatment recommendations, recommendations for further analysis, triage and/or provide follow up on-call care.

Abstract: The present invention provides an electronic system for facilitating communication between a presenter and a plurality of participants over a communication network without downloading software to the presenter and participant computers. The system includes a presenter computer having a graphical user interface to control the display of a presentation, authorize participants to pose a question, and respond to the question; a plurality of participant computers each having a presenter graphical user interface for viewing the presentation, requesting permission to pose a question, and generating the question; and a system server configured for brokering communication between the presenter computer and the plurality of participant computers.

Abstract: The present invention provides an online interactive system for facilitating collaboration between a presenter and a plurality of participants comprising a presenter graphical user interface having a comment text box, a question text box, an answer text box, a whisper text box, and an audience text box. Using the interface, the presenter is able to authorize a selected participant to pose a question, post comments in the comments text box, post answers for display in the answer text box, select a participant from the audience text box for private communication displayed in the whisper text box, and enter text to be transmitted to the plurality of participants and to be displayed on the participant graphical user interface.

Abstract: The present invention provides a system and method for converting application specific presentation file stored with corresponding metadata to a universal format for display on a web browser without downloading of software to the client devices. The method includes the following steps: uploading the application specific file, detecting the uploaded application specific file, reading the metadata, determining from the metadata whether the file extension corresponds to the specific application, loading the file, validating that the file corresponds to the specific application by examining header information, converting the application specific file into a universal image file format, modifying the file, validating the resolution of the file, storing the file for display on the web browser, and transmitting the file to the web browser for display.
