    Abstract: A method for forming a molded article includes the steps of providing one of vacuum molding and press molding. A sheet of thermoformable material which is heated to a temperature at which the material is moldable is provided and the thermoformable sheet is placed over split mold die and vacuum pressure applied or placed between male and female molds on a press mold and pressure is applied. The molded sheet is removed from the dies, and the two halves of the molded sheet are joined together to form a molded article.
