  • Patent number: 9757591
Abstract: Methods and systems for monitoring an automated radiopharmaceutical infusion apparatus are disclosed. A user interface graphically representing infusion apparatus components may be presented on a display device. Multiple sensors may be arranged within an infusion apparatus to measure property information associated with infusion apparatus components, including fluid pathways. The property information may include radioactivity and flow information. The property information may be compared with expected results. If the property information does not match the expected results, a fault condition may be indicated on the display device. The user interface may provide information and/or functions to manage the fault conditions.

  • Patent number: 9039592
Abstract: A device for delivery of a radiopharmaceutical and, in some embodiments, delivery of a pharmaceutical agent are provided herein. A fluid path set comprising a confluence valve, a four-way valve, and one or more tubing sections which are designed to place some combination of a radiopharmaceutical source, a medical fluid source, and a pharmaceutical agent source in sterile fluid communication with a patient or a waste receptacle. Also provided are holders for the fluid path set, and a sterile fluid delivery kit comprising the holder and fluid path set. A fluid delivery system may accept the holder with the fluid path set installed and various sources of radiopharmaceuticals, pharmaceuticals, and medical fluids. The fluid delivery system allows for automated mixing and delivery of exact amounts of these agents to a patient while improving efficiency and safety, and reducing waste.

  • Publication number: 20140257015
Abstract: Methods and systems for automatically and dynamically determining a dose of a radiopharmaceutical are disclosed. The dose may be determined based on, among other things, radiopharmaceutical information associated with at least one source of a radiopharmaceutical, patient information and schedule information. An estimated radioactivity level may be determined based on an initial radioactivity level, a delivery time, a radioactivity decay rate, and an anticipated arrival time. A volume of the radiopharmaceutical to inject into a patient to deliver a dose of radioactivity may be determined based on the estimated radioactivity level and patient dosing information. An infusion apparatus may operate to inject the patient with the volume of the radiopharmaceutical.
