  • Publication number: 20220406203
Abstract: A control system in communication with one of an aircraft navigational aid system and an aircraft surveillance system is described. The control system obtains measurement data associated with radio frequency (RF) signals transmitted by the one of the aircraft navigational aid system and the aircraft surveillance system from an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) reporting the measurement data. The control system also determines whether the measurement data indicates the RF signals are within a range of values based on a location of the UAV in an airspace proximate to the one of the aircraft navigational aid system and the aircraft surveillance system. The control system further controls the RF signals transmitted by the one of the aircraft navigational aid system and the aircraft surveillance system based on the measurement data and the location of the UAV. Methods performed by the control system are also described.

  • Publication number: 20080063831
Abstract: Weatherseals are provided by a pair of base members (21c, 21d) which may be attached to a pile (22) formed by winding fibers (yam) around a band (51) as the band travels along an endless path. A section of the pile (22) on one side of the endless band (51) is cut to provide cut pile section (23) and a continuous pile section (22a). The continuous pile section (22a) forms the bow, arch or loop (22e) by disposing the base members (21c, 21d) in side-by-side, back-to-back, or perpendicular relationship. The cut pile section (23) may be removed at the base members (21c, 21d) or halves of the cut pile section (22b, 22c) maybe left in place. The remaining cut pile section halves (22b, 22c) form one or more brushes along the outside or inside of the bow, arch, or loop (22e) formed by the continuous pile section (22a).

  • Publication number: 20070094934
Abstract: Pile weatherstrip-ping, which is clad with a wrapping of a film (14, 25, 104, 216) of flexible material, has one or more rows (19, 27, 100, 102, 212, 214) of pile (10, 24, 105, 233) on a backing (12, 28, 106, 218) in side-by-side relationship. The wrapping film material conforms to the outside surface of the row (19, 27, 100, 212 21 102, 214) of pile so as to define a bulb or bulbs which are completely filled with pile. Single row (19, 27) pile weatherstripping is made by wrapping the pile (10, 24) with the film material (14, 25) after first ultrasonically welding the film material along one edge thereof to the backing (12, 28) under the pile. Then, the film material (14, 25) may be bent around the pile as it moves through a guide (88). The film material (14, 25) is then attached along the opposite edge to the backing thereof so as to completely enclose and clad the row (19, 27) of weatherstripping.

  • Publication number: 20030002660
Abstract: A method and device for delivering high speed telecommunications services in existing network interface devices comprises a network interface unit block or module, with an associated removable customer access module, which can be mounted in an existing slot cavity of an existing network interface device to terminate DSL or T1 service, or “pass-thru” T1 service, so as to provide both traditional residential service and high-speed digital service to a customer.

  • Patent number: 6111949
Abstract: The present invention provides a two-wire line conditioning apparatus having an improved calibration and cancellation circuit and provides an improved calibration method using a multitone calibration signal. The apparatus automatically adjusts an electronic hybrid as part of a calibration procedure so as to eliminate undesirable echo effects when calls are placed along the line. The alignment procedure identifies the optimal balance in a rapid manner. The electronic hybrid balancing process and echo cancellation circuitry may also be utilized in a circuit for converting four-wire communications systems to two-wire communications systems. The line conditioning device of the present invention utilizes a multitone signal to simulate the voice frequency spectrum between approximately 500 Hz and 3500 Hz to probe the line side with a plurality of tones (e.g., 500, 1500 and 3500 Hz; or 500, 1000, 1500, 2000, 2500, 3000, 3500 Hz).

  • Patent number: 5871720
Abstract: The invention comprises a cosmetic composition which is a translucent to clear stick having low tack. The cosmetic sticks are formed by combining (a) from 5.0-50.0 weight percent of a silicone fluid phase which comprises at least one hydroxy functionalized silicone fluid, at least one stabilizing agent and, optionally at least one additional silicone material; (b) from 40-95 weight percent of a gellant/solvent phase which comprises a mixture of dibenzylidene sorbitol and at least one solvent such as a polyhydric alcohol (for example, propylene glycol); and (c) an effective amount of at least one active ingredient.

  • Patent number: 4467574
Abstract: This security device for basement windows consists primarily of a pair of parallel spaced-apart bars secured over the window. It further includes carriage bolts extending through the concrete or cinder blocks, which also extend into a pair of channel members, and the bolts receive nuts that are enclosed in the channel members, and are rotated by a special off-set wrench, which is entered into an opening in a wall of the channel members.
