  • Patent number: 11928738
Abstract: Systems and methods relating to improving the experience of gig-economy workers are disclosed, with particular reference to gig-economy work involving vehicle use. During or after performance of gig-economy work, data automatically collected may be used to generate and present recommendations or education points to gig-economy workers. Such recommendations may include targeted alerts to notify gig-economy workers of high-demand situations or to coordinate between gig-economy workers and gig-economy customers. Alerts may be generated based upon current excess demand for gig-economy services, as well as gig-economy worker availability and preferences. For example, alerts may be generated in response to detecting emergency conditions in an area in order to mobilize a large number of gig-economy transportation service providers.

  • Publication number: 20230331035
Abstract: An apertured article, insertion article and associated systems. The apertured article having an aperture, which has an aperture periphery, the aperture periphery having an aperture inner periphery and spaced aperture protrusions that extend radially outwardly from the aperture inner periphery to an aperture outer periphery. The aperture outer periphery is defined by distal edges of the spaced aperture protrusions. The aperture inner periphery is positioned along the circumference of an inner aperture reference circle, the inner aperture reference circle inscribing the aperture periphery, and the aperture outer periphery is positioned along the circumference of an outer aperture reference circle. As viewed along a radial line whose origin is at the center of the inner aperture reference circle, the aperture inner periphery can be positioned along 0.4 to 0.6 of the entire circumference of the inner aperture reference circle. The insertion article can be configured for insertion in the apertured article.

  • Publication number: 20220286457
Abstract: In one embodiment, a method is provided. The method includes receiving a registration message from a network device. The registration request indicates that a first computing device has connected to the computing devices. The method also includes determining a category for the first computing device based on the registration message. The method further includes determining a set of rules for the computing device based on the category. The method further includes transmitting the set of rules to the network device. The set of rules indicates permissions for the first computing device. Each network of the set of networks is initially isolated from other networks of the set of networks when the network is created. Each network of the set of networks comprises a respective computing device of the set of computing devices.
