  • Patent number: 11538585
Abstract: A method of detecting abnormalities in ECG signals by providing an ECG signal to a neural network, performing a first series of convolution operations to a first subset of layers and in a final layer, and determining a plurality of preliminary classification estimates, each preliminary classification estimate corresponding with a time segment of the ECG signal. Furthermore, determining input data for a second subset of layers of the neural network by concatenating the preliminary classification with the output of a layer of the first subset of layers that precedes the final layer of the first subset of layers. Within the second subset of layers of the neural network, performing a second series of convolution operations. In a final layer of the second subset, determining plurality of final classification estimates, each final classification estimate corresponding with a time segment of the ECG signal.

  • Patent number: 11520332
Abstract: An autonomous mobile device (AMD) uses sensors to explore a physical space and determine the locations of obstacles. Simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) techniques are used by the AMD to designate as keyframes some images and their associated descriptors of features in the space. Each keyframe indicates a location and orientation of the AMD relative to those features. Anchors are specified relative to keyframes. A marker is specified relative to one or more anchors. Because markers are associated with features in the physical space, they maintain their association with the physical space through various processes such as SLAM loop closures. Markers may specify locations in the physical space, such as navigation waypoints, navigation destinations such as a goal pose for exploring an unexplored area, as an observation target to facilitate exploration, and so forth. Markers may also be used to specify block listed locations to be avoided during exploration.

  • Patent number: 11233565
Abstract: Apparatus for detecting pulse optical position modulated signals with high background noise by detection of quantum arrival rate at the detector are described. Pulse signals at the detection limit are characterized by the arrival of clusters of individual photons at an optical receiver. The receiver has embedded shot noise that interferes with the detection of the signal of interest. The apparatus distinguishes the signal of interest by a measurement of the rate of arrival of the photons of the signal of interest from the ambient shot noise rate of the receiver. The apparatus determines the optimal signal detection criteria and calculates the expected bit error rate of the decoded data.
