  • Publication number: 20060031928
Abstract: Devices and methods are provided to ascertain an existence of tunneling activity through a network firewall. According to one methodology, a set of norms is established for network traffic and a series of data packets transmitted through the firewall are monitored. Data packet attributes are analyzed to determine an absence or an existence of tunneling activity based on whether the attributes conform to the norms. A device is also provided in the form of a detector which is situated behind a network firewall and incorporates a data capture component for passively monitoring network traffic through the firewall and for producing detection data, and a data analysis component for comparing the detection data to a set of network traffic norms that are characteristic of an absence of tunneling activity. Tunneling activity potentially exists if the detection data fails to conform to any one of the set of norms.

  • Publication number: 20040025710
Abstract: A wok with multiple bowls has a regularly sized and shaped main bowl with a number of additional smaller bowls built within the perimeter and raised slightly above the bottom of the larger bowl to permit cooking of a number of different ingredients for one dish or several different dishes at the same time in the same wok. A normal wok dish may be cooked in the larger bowl adaptable to any number of people and the smaller bowls may be used to simultaneously cook individual portions, components of one dish or several different dishes that should be restrained while cooking to prevent spreading that will occur in many egg dishes such as Chinese egg fu-yung patties.

  • Patent number: 6053829
Abstract: A game ball (10) including a large collapsible outer shell (12) partially filled with filler material (14). The game ball (10) includes a selectively closeable aperture (22) adapted to permit insertion and removal of filler material (14) within the outer shell (12). The game ball (10) also includes at least one air vent (34) through the outer shell (12). A game can be played with the ball (10) by having players (16) simultaneously grasp opposing sides of the ball (10) while attempting to move the ball (10) toward a goal area (38,40) and resist movement of the ball (10) toward an opponent's goal area (38,40).

  • Patent number: 5208440
Abstract: A system and method for cutting insulation and metal using a plasma arc is provided. The system includes a plasma arc cutter for cutting sheets of insulation and metal. The plasma arc cutter has a torch adapted to constantly arc. The sheets of insulation and metal are positioned below the torch. The method of cutting insulation and metal uses the plasma arc cutter system to cut sheets of insulation and metal. In accordance with a preferred embodiment of the method of the invention insulation and metal are cut without vertically moving the torch of the plasma arc cutter system. A rolling table of a plasma cutting system is loaded with a sheet of insulation. The table is rolled to move the sheet of insulation into cutting position below the torch. The sheet of insulation is cut and then removed by rolling table out from under the torch, loading a sheet of metal onto the table and rolling it under the torch. The tip of the torch has an electrical ground.

  • Patent number: 4880958
Abstract: A plasma cutting system comprising a frame, a work support on said frame and a tubular torch support. Gantry means for moving the tubular torch support laterally and longitudinally relative to work on the work support. The torch support is moved a fixed distance from the work and has a ski cup on the lower end of the tubular work support to move over the work. The tube is urged downward by a spring so that as the ski cup runs over the work, the tube is lifted and held at a constant distance from the work. A torch support bearing in the lower end of the torch tube freely receives the torch in the tube.

  • Patent number: 4633055
Abstract: The plasma cutting system of the invention includes a constant height plasma arc cutter, a rolling table and a plasma cutter carrying gantry driven from opposite sides. The rolling table is rolled from a loading position where metal sheets are positioned thereon to a cutting position beneath the plasma arc cutter. The plasma arc cutter is held at a constant height above the rolling table. Each metal sheet loaded onto the rolling table is supported on adjustable pins. The entire cutting area is enclosed and vented. The plasma cutter and the rolling table are supported by the cutting system support. A cutter housing supports a transparent curtain, and the transparent curtain encloses the plasma arc cutter. A gantry is supported by the cutter housing, and the gantry supports the plasma cutter. The rolling table includes a table frame, adjustable pins and table wheels. The adjustable pins and the table wheels are connected to the table frame.

  • Patent number: 4082362
Abstract: Apparatus for forming bores and coal seams and the like and enlarging preexisting bores. A mining machine includes a nonrotatable body member, a conveyor in line with the body member, a pilot head, and a pair of wing cutters mounted to the body member for pivotal movement with respect to the body member. Structure is provided for moving coal or the like cut by the wing cutters during out-cutting toward the sides of the bore, the structure including a pair of shields, one associated with each wing cutter and disposed between the wing cutter and the body member and pilot head, and a generally conical member coaxial with the shaft for rotation of the pilot head. Stabilization of the body member, etc., within the bore is provided by a pair of wheel sets spaced along the length of the conveyor, and a pair of right angle guide members vertically displaced from the wheel structure of one the wheel sets.

  • Patent number: 4037875
Abstract: A miner especially adapted for high-production mining of low-coal seams (24-36 inches thick) while providing maximum miner safety and complying with applicable federal safety regulations. One or more cutting heads rotatable about the vertical axes are provided along with electric motors for rotating the heads. The heads are mounted for reciprocal longitudinal movement along the cutting face, and hydraulic cylinders, or the like, are provided for reciprocating the heads so that they move toward each other during shearing. A paddle-type conveyor continuously (even during sumping) conveys the cut coal away from the coal face, substantially perpendicular thereto through the formed tunnel. Hydraulic rams associated with roof-supporting and anchoring means are provided for sumping the cutting heads. A curtain assembly or the like contains the dust generated during cutting to a confined area adjacent the cutting face, and an exhaust fan or fans continuously draws the dust away from the confined area.

  • Patent number: 4003602
Abstract: A method and apparatus for forming bores in coal seams and the like and enlarging pre-existing bores. A mining machine includes a non-rotatable body member, a conveyor, such as an auger, in line with the body member, and a pair of wing cutters mounted on the body member for pivotal movement with respect thereto. The wing cutters are movable from a first position wherein they are generally in line with the body member and conveyor, to a second position wherein they are disposed outwardly with respect to the body member. The wing cutters will be in their first position during movement into a bore, and will be moved to and latched in a second position during movement out of the bore. A pilot cutting head in front of the body member may also be provided. The wing cutters may comprise rotatable drums driven by cutting chains, and the drums are normally powered to rotate outwardly from the body member, in directions opposite to each other.
