Abstract: A pin input/output device is provided including a housing with a plurality of bores formed therein. Also included is a plurality of pin solenoids each having a unique address and a transducer slidable with respect to one of the bores of the housing. A plurality of pin position potentiometers are each mounted on an associated one of the pin solenoids for generating a position signal which is representative of a current position of the corresponding transducer with respect to the housing. An interface logic is connected to the pin position potentiometers for generating digital output signals each including the address of a designated one of the pin solenoids and the current position of the designated one of the pin solenoids as indicated by the position signal. It should be noted that the interface logic may further be used to extend the transducers per received input signals.

Abstract: A method for making file teeth including a punch and anvil that forms part of a die set. A strip of metal is positioned on the die set so that by moving the punch into engagement with the strip of metal, a plurality of file teeth will be formed from the strip of metal and simultaneously coined sharpened in a single operation.

Abstract: A replaceable handle for a hollow file which includes an elongate metal bar having a reverted hook formed on the outer end thereof with the opposite end having an upstanding portion extending perpendicularly to the bar. A hand grip portion extends perpendicularly from the upper end of the upstanding portion generally parallel to the bar. A threaded stud extends rearwardly from the upstanding portion and a channel shaped hook member is mounted on the threaded stud. A thumb nut is threaded onto the threaded stud engaging the hook member to force it toward the hook member at the other end of the bar to clamp the upper surface of a hollow file therebetween.
